Every time I try to go to this location something is wrong with it. Never have/give me what I went there to get if they are even open. The hours don’t matter to the staff, closing early and opening up late. Their order ahead ability on the app is always said to not available, why even advertise it. Bad franchise location, have to go all they way to shorewood for a bagel. Several bad experiences has lead to this review.
Unfortunately service was terrible due to a male staff member being disrespectful to customers coming in to order. The location was short staffed and no one in line was complaining and patiently waiting and the comment “we are only taking orders 3 at a time” in a rude tone was not necessary. Everyone was understanding and he continued to repeat this and the process of what he was doing to customers. I then put in my rewards number and then he stated “well you put in your rewards number. that messes up the process did you want to redeem anything” and i simply stated no to try and make it easier. many customers were also not happy with the attitude of this staff member. first time at this location but will continue to go back to oakland.
The service at this store was terrible. There was an extremely rude male staff member that was speaking to customers very disrespectfully. This location was short staffed and there was a decent sized line. The staff member told everyone in the store that the were no longer taking walk in orders and that customers would have to wait a very long time. No one in the line or store was complaining about the wait but he continued to make an attempt to drive customers out of the store. He made a rude comment back to one of my friends when she commented on how rude he was being. Overall, it was completely unnecessary and disrespectful.
Had a terrible experience at this Einstein. A male worker was extremely rude. They were short staffed which is understandable. But he was yelling as people came in “it’s gonna be a long wait, don’t know what to tell you guys”. Then continued with his attitude the whole 30 minutes we were there. The customer service was not there and I was extremely dissatisfied.
I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for years. My experience today as a customer was very unsatisfactory. Today this restaurant was being audited. And the manager was completely out of line with staff, using foul language, yelling at incoming customers that they’re going to wait for a long time due to understaffing. As a customer we see everything, I understand the pressures of a restaurant business. I was so uncomfortable, I’ve been there several times in hopes of having a better experience but that’s never the case. Please hire a new PROFESSIONAL manager for the sake of the business or you’ll continue having poor reviews and losing customers.
I went into this bakery on 25th March 2022 at 10.45 am. I placed an order for two single bagels and a tub of cream cheese. The lady at the counter was super rude. She took my order and called out to the customer who was waiting behind me for his bagels and told him how i was buying two single bagels instead of buying half a dozen. Throughout this conversation she sighed and shook her head in disbelief. If she was so concerned she could have told this to me to which i would answer “i am just trying it out” but how rude is it to talk about your order to another customer? It was as if I did not exist. If you guys are employing rude people I would suggest not to let them stay at the counter. I see from many previous reviews that this has been the case.
Worst Einstein’s I’ve ever been too. 1 star is not low enough. Very rude staff that was making fun of customers to their face. Absolutely horrible. Stay away.
The staff is always friendly and speedy with getting items out.
Both workers weren’t wearing their masks properly. This isn’t uncommon these days but It’s stands out when you work with food. What grossed me out was the worker smacking and chewing her gum, mask down, as she made my food. Please don’t chew gum while you’re handling food, even fast food. It’s a small thing yes, but it was extremely unappetizing and unprofessional.
Don't waist your time with this location. This store has a female employee who is regularly unpleasant. On my last visit she quickly yelled at me when I entered the store that it would be a long wait. After waiting to have my order taken she became upset that I ordered multiple breakfast sandwiches. She began to shake her head and sigh. She then began to yell at incoming customers that the wait would be long because I ordered so many sandwiches. Her body language showed she was upset. After taking my order she then began to talk with other employees loudly about being too busy. I understand being short handed but this same lady constantly has the same unpleasant behavior with customers. I believe another person left a review of the same employee. The employee at the register is the employee who has a bad attitude.
