Atmosphere and service was amazing. Food was disappointing and low-grade. Would definitely come back for drinks and the old-timey experience but won't be bringing friends back for dinner like originally planned. With a little more attention to the flavors and quality of food this place could be an amazing spot to bring guests, or go for a cozy date night out. However, as it stands, corn from a can, watery tasteless iceberg salads and thin, toothless linguine with canned clams and flavorless oil just doesn't cut the cake. The meatloaf was pretty good, though.I really wish I had been able to experience the flavors of this place back in its hey day of Mama DeMarinis in the 50s!
Pizza was excellent and service was great ,always filled are drinks and asked if we needed anything else also the appetizers were hot and delicious...
My family enjoys coming here for the pizza, atmosphere and tradition. The bar is a great gathering spot for pre-dinner drinks. The dining space is your basic tables and chairs with a wall decor as if you were in the streets of Italy. Personally, the best seats are the booth area by the bar.As an interesting twist, the square cheese slices go on top of the toppings and crust.Friendly service!
The waitress was wonderful but the food definitely fell short. There was a sizable piece of plastic in my lasagna and it had to have been microwaved. It was piping hot around the edges and Luke warm in the middle, plus I could see the microwave bubbles on the side of the bowl..... needless to say I sent it back and went without a meal....
Called on a Saturday evening to place an order for pick-up. Ordered two 16" pizzas and an order of cheese garlic bread. Was told an hour to come pick-up. I arrived promptly and after getting the food home (5 min drive) everything was room temperature. The pizzas and garlic bread were clearly sitting for at least 15 mins. Pizza was fine, would be better it was HOT. Cheese garlic bread consists of slices of toast with a slice of cheese on top and a shake of dry seasoning. Completely cold. Waste of money.
Loved the pizza. The prices were great & owners and staff were so nice. Arrived a stranger left feeling like family.
The owners are super nice! Stopped in for the Italian fish fry and a beer, had a great time and the food was fantastic at prices you can't beat. Will be coming back very soon!
Great pizza. Sausage melts in your mouth. Every bite you can really taste the cheese, sauce and toppings.
This is painful, I was raised on DeMarinis and I have no idea what happened but I stopped in recently and it literally was the worst pizza that I have ever had. I tried one piece and threw out the rest. One tasteless piece of sausage on each piece, very little sauce and on and on. What the hell happened to this place? Just proves you can't go home again. C'mon folks get it together.
Got recommended to come here on a pizza tour of Milwaukee a few years ago. I was told it was "pan" pizza but it wasn't what I was expecting. It's cooked/served in a pan but it's a thinner crust. We went on a night that wasn't busy, server was very nice. I was super excited to see breaded ravioli on the menu as it's one of my favs and based on another review, the motz sticks were highly recommended. We decided to get both because why not but I wish the server or menu had told us that the ravioli were cheese filled. I thought they would be meat :/ So we had two forms of fried cheese, both of which were just okay. The marinara served with was also just okay. As far as the pizza, it was cooked properly, hefty portions but again, just okay. On the bland side overall which leads us to not wanting to come back. Wish I would've tried the pasta instead.
