I really don't like leaving negative reviews, especially for small businesses. However, I gave this place three tries because, on the surface, it is usually the kind of place I tend to enjoy - clean, small and seemingly authentic. I'll start with the good - the restaurant seems to be clean, and that is important. The house salsa is also very good. That is pretty much where the good part of my review ends. I ordered a steak chimichanga on 2 out of my 3 visits there, and both times, there was A LOT of grizzle in the steak. The steak also lacked seasoning and flavor both times. The third time, I got enchilladas and they were small and tasteless, even with the sauce on top. I thought $6 for chips and salsa to go was a lot, but the chips were a generous portion and the salsa was decently sized. But the final straw for me was, on my last visit, I noticed what appears to be microwaved rice and beans. The bottom of my styrofoam dish was melted and it looks as though the rice and beans were microwaved too long. When I saw that, I threw out the rest of my dish and vowed not to return. It is a shame - the lady who took my order each time I went there was really nice.
I'm so glad we found this place! Random Google for Mexican food near our hotel. Great atmosphere. Fun music. Older decor but definitely provides the typical ambiance of a Mexican restaurant. We tried the super burrito,, taco salad and the gordita meal. All very good. Food was at the table in like 10 mins, super and surprisingly fast. Also very affordable! Our bill was $29. Oh and dine in gets free chips n salsa!
I've been here several times now. Overall great food, great portions. You should leave full for sure Waitresses are great and friendly. I've had something different each visit and continue to plan to stop here each trip to Milwaukee.

Are you in the mood for Mexican food I don't know where to go look no further. Cielito Lindo have great Mexican food that's full of flavor robust and enjoyable with plenty of dishes to choose from you're trying to find the right Mexican cuisine to fit your taste. They also have some nice margaritas in a few delicious flavors.One of my favorite dishes to try is the Molcajete, it comes with chicken steak and shrimp which is very flavorful and seasoned well sure to knock your socks off through your shoes. If you don't believe me come and see for yourself...

Classic Mexican restaurant with beautiful murals, friendly staff, and great flavors. Their bistec is excellent, salsas are great, and margaritas are stellar
They totally made my order wrong. I asked for no lettuce, sour cream and tomatoes on both my burritos. Only cilantro, cheese, and onions. Well guess what I received lettuce, tomatoes, sourcream and beans. I couldn't believe it when I got home. My wife couldn't eat hers at all because shes allergic to tomatoes. $19 bucks down the drain for nothing. Please check your food before leaving there. I personally won't be coming back again.
Their chips and salsa are fantastic! Very good meal. Margaritas were a little underwhelming but they also didn't cost very much. I would happily eat here again. They have a bar as well as table dining.
Some of the food was good and some of it was okay. The atmosphere is relaxed so it made a great place for conversation. Waitress was excellent.
