First time going on Monday and it was AMAZING! Inside was very clean and great atmosphere. We didn’t have a reservation but not a lot of people and they said it was fine . Got seated and had a very nice waitress. Our app. Was the dumplings. Very good . Our dinner was great! They give a good portion of rice and fresh Romain lettuce if you want to make lettuce wraps with your food ! Which I thought was a great.I was even impressed with silverware options even chopsticks that weren’t wood ones . Tried their galaxy lemonade recommended by the waitress we had . So freaking good! We Left full and happy.Me and my boyfriend are already making plans on when to come again. Thanks for an amazing experienceAnd thanks to the cooks for a great meal !
This place is awesome..First of all, for the quality and portion.. So underpriced.I brought my family from Korea and they really loved it to a point that they said they would recommend it.The drinks were so fancy yet so well crafted.Chef Mike is like such amazing cook, every food was on point and we were so sad that some of us couldn't finish the food. The servers are so attentive and nice too. I'm definitely bringing all my friend here.Thank you for an amazing time for my family!!!
Everything we ate was amazing! They knocked it out of the park. My husband finished his pork ribs in the blink of an eye, I looked up and they were gone. We will be dreaming of the spicy chicken wings tonight. Looking forward to going back!
Apparently I’m a Korean food purist. I like what this place is doing and the food was good, but I’d prefer something more original. Our server was fantastic!I found the vibe itself lively and it had an overall fun atmosphere. I’d probably go back.
This is a cute quiet restaurant. When you first walk in there's a full bar (it was so cold I forgot to take pictures ? please forgive me). You walk up a few steps into the dining area. I love the atmosphere. It's not too bright, so it's easy on the eyes. The decoration on the walls are very nice as well.We sat down in a corner towards the right. That area was pretty much empty.. It soon got crowded but that was okay. Seems like a popular restaurant. It was mine and my coworkers first time there. A cute waitress by the name of Fiona helped us. Fiona seemed really nice. She took her orders and soon left. I can tell that she wasn't very familiar with the Korean dishes, but that's okay. Our dishes came relatively quick. The food was pretty amazing. My friend ordered the pork belly. And Fiona brought out some traditional side dishes to go with the pork belly. The side dishes were red leaf lettuce and a couple of sauces. One sauce in particular is called Samjha in Korean. Fiona said it was called Sam. Perhaps that's what they call it here at Char'd. No biggie. Maybe they do things differently. Nevertheless, it was tasty.Soon after that's when we realize that either Fiona was very busy or she just wasn't very attentive. I would have gave the restaurant a five stars but we could barely get a Fiona. If the hostess didn't come to refill the waters then we would have gone thirsty. I asked Fiona in the beginning if they had Korean tea, and she responded yes. I asked her if it's oloong tea or another type of Korean tea. She didn't seem to know, but did say it was Korean. I ordered it. When it came I found out that it was just green tea ?. I would have never ordered it if I had known it was green tea.All in all I give the restaurant a four stars. Perhaps after a while Fiona will get up to par. It was even hard to get our checks to pay at the end. We ended up getting two separate checks and we were charged the wrong items. It's okay to forget. After she dropped off the checks. Checks. She said if the items were wrong she would change it. But she left so quickly that I wasn't even able to utter a word. She did that all night. It was a little annoying. Because we felt like we were not important. Now the other waitresses came to their tables like four to five times. But they cater to their own table so it was hard to even mudder a word to them as well.I ordered the soft tofu soup, a side of kimchi and my friend ordered the pork belly and all the dishes were delicious. Delicious. The soft tofu soup had calamari, zucchini, mushrooms, onions amongst other small vegetables.I highly recommend this restaurant. Please check it out. ☺️?
Nice spice level in the items marked as spicy. The KFC wings and dumplings were awesome. The pork bulgogi was tender and spicy. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
We were the first order if the day and it was very obvious. We got dumplings and the meat was cold in some and they were lukewarm in general.Wings were okay very sugary in taste.Ribs were yummy. This is a Korean restaurant accommodating to its neighborhood since we asked for the spiciest sauce they had and it was ketchup like.Definitely with one try but that's it.
Food was fantastic, our server was very friendly and attentive. Never knew this place existed and wound up having an awesome Friday night.
The subtle twist on Korean food was interesting. Some of the items we tried were good (the dumplings) and some were disappointing (scallion pancake was just okay and there was hardly any meat in the beef bulgogi), but I'm willing to give it another try because there are so few options for good Korean food in Milwaukee!
Really good food! I had the Glass Noodles with tofu and they were extremely tasty. I also had the Galaxy Lemonade which was also very good. Highly recommended.
