Would give 5 stars if it was a bit larger space; the staff had to squeeze between our table and customers seated at the bar.The duck was done perfectly, the orange sauce could be poured over the duck, didn't overwhelm the duck. The puree potatoes were flavorful. My husband enjoyed the chicken dish which is described as a family recipe. Wish we had this restaurant back home.
Chef Ana and the staff of Cavas are amazing. You feel like family and eat like it too. No better paella in the city (or state, tbh.)Make it an evening, sit down and eat all you can. You will not be disappointed.
Good food and friendly staff. Every dish was good but, unfortunately, most were lacking the twist to make them memorable. For example the duck was overcooked and the chocolate mousse was hidden under disappointing whipped cream. Best was the stuffed pimiento which was fairly original and perfectly executed. Loud music.
Just call and make a reservation, you will not regret it! Trust me!!! Best food I’ve had in Milwaukee in a long time! Service was top notch and atmosphere was phenomenal. Woman owned business that brings you happiness from the time you walk through the doors. Just trust me and have a meal.
Three of us were stranded without a reservation on a Saturday night because an online reservation at another favorite restaurant did not process correctly. We decided to take a peek at Cavas to see if it was filled. It was, but out walked Ana, taking a breather. Typical Ana -- friendly, gracious and accommodating -- she said "Park right here (an illegal space), this is mine!" We sat at the bar because the place was packed, as usual, and had a great time with the staff while enjoying Ana's fabulous creations. This place is such a gem in our Third Ward neighborhood -- like no other!
service was excellent and the food was so delicious. definitely recommend the house platter and some empanadas to start. excited to go back for another date night soon!

What a fantastic little find. This 5 table restaurant is a gem. The owner cooks right in front of you (and dances, as well!). The food is fantastic, and seems authentic. The empanadas are packed with ingredients and flavor. The wine is reasonably priced, as well as the food. The paella was a tad overcooked, but tasted good. I still give it 5 stars for the food and atmosphere. Enjoy!

I don’t think I have ever had such a genuine, caring, fun, and kind experience at a restaurant before.They even called us when we forgot our leftovers (after closing) and said how late they’d be there so we could come and get them- like come on! I’ve never had anyone care enough to do that before. Truly amazing!The ambiance is fantastic. The drinks are delicious. And the food is fresh, beautifully prepared, and will amaze your taste buds more and more with every bite!I will most definitely be back!
