This place is an upscale BBQ steakhouse and the atmosphere is amazing. The food is excellent and consistent with their Chicago restaurant. We love the cornbread, crab cake and ribs. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Prices are high, everything is ala carte but worth the experience.
This was our first time going to Carson's and we had an amazing experience. Our waiter, Greg, was phenomenal, very informative on their menu and walked us through the options we had for the steaks we ordered. He even brought out a complementary dessert for our first time dining there. Overall, food was delicious and worth the money. We will be coming back!
My wife and I were taken here as a thank you by some friends of ours. Our reservations were for Saturday 5-21-2022 at 6pm. It was all downhill from there. We all had looked at the menu before showing up so we ordered dinner promptly at the same time the waitress came to take our drink order. Here is where it went south. I go to order a steak fillet and am told....they are out of that. Then ask to order the prime rib.... they are out of that too. I finally settle for the ribs and brisket platter. Intentionally going to a well known steak house and the restaurant not having steak to put it lightly, leaves a bad taste in your mouth about the place. On top of that the rips and brisket were very sub par. Will not be back and would not recommend to anyone I know. Steer clear of this place.
I visited Carson's for the first time today for my mother on Mother's Day. The service was superb! But, sadly our food was not. I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The lettuce was slightly wilted and the chicken was dry, old and tasteless. My mother ordered the prime rib. I know this tends to be more of a marbled cut of meat. Which should add to the overall flavor and juiciness of the meat. Unfortunately, it was tough and tasteless. And the fat had more of a gristle effect. I had to help my mom cut the meat when using a serrated knife. The waitress was so professional and attentive that I did want her to feel the implications of my disappointment. So, I kept my mouth shut. Why do customers have to cross their fingers and hope to get quality food that is professionally prepared when they dine at a restaurant? And the pandemic has only heighten this dilemma??
Top tier service and even better food!
Food was excellent. Waitress not so much. On top of that, they charge an automatic 18% gratuity even though there were only two of us. If they are going to take gratuity on every bill, regardless of the party size, the least we should get is great service.
Service was excellent and the food was very good.
I always enjoy Carson’s.
The brisket sandwich was like butter, it literally melted in my mouth ! I devoured it so fast, I barely remember the flavor, but it was delicious ! The steak I had was medium well, but more on the well done side, it was good, not really worth $56, but their cole slaw is very good ! Very onion-y. I loved it. The razz drink is cute & tasty, not a strong drink. But definitely cute !
The place looks nice but there complications....first there was a problem with our reservations...which the manager fixed it..once there it nice but this baby keep screaming it was 9p.m...the waitress was a bit deceiving...the salad dressing were nasty and my pork chop was still raw in the middle so I just took my food to go and finish cooking it at home...my experience wasn't the best and I was really excited so that was a big let down...also it was my 15th year anniversary.... Don't know if I'll be back...I gave 3 stars because the food was good once I finished cooking it and the manager fixed the reservation problem..
