Birch is the best high end restaurant in MKE.

My husband and I LOVE Birch. It’s hands down the best restaurant either of us have been to in the USA (I know, I know, that’s a big call). Everything on the menu is phenomenal, seriously. Enjoy!

Not much to say other than they had super bad service. Spend 15 minutes without anyone asking us what we will like to have. We simply walked away and it seems that nobody cared.

The Bloody Mary was delicious and the food was wonderful!

Fabulous dinner…all 6 of us loved it!! The focaccia and fresh garden vegetables were a great intro. We ordered the walleye, the steak, the chicken and a few pastas. Highly recommend all. Topped off with desserts, one chocolate and one lemon curd….excellent!!

Been here 4 times in past few months. Food this visit was ok- not great. Cocktail menu was ok, preferred previous one. Server was good as well as the food runner- exceptional and delightful to talk with (girl with long braided extensions). We’ll be back

Great food and relaxing outdoor atmosphere. I loved the ramp/ricotta ravioli and chocolate tart.

Three of us had the distinct pleasure of experiencing the Chef's Tasting during our visit. The food (not surprisingly) was outstanding. While the consistency in quality is not surprising, the meal was full of delightful surprises. The service was excellent with great wine recommendations, and delightful conversation with our server. As someone who has had the pleasure and privilege of dining at Birch several times, I feel compelled to comment on the culture and leadership at Birch. If you've worked in the restaurant industry, or viewed shows focused on cooking, a recurrent theme is the toxicity of the industry. The Bear is yet the latest example of hostile work environments. I share this in contrast to our experiences at Birch. With an open kitchen, we have witnessed nothing but a healthy workplace culture with respect for each other as the norm. If the outstanding food was not sufficient reason to dine here (it is), then supporting local businesses that treat workers with care and respect is worth a visit.

Fantastic Food. Smaller plates but worth every bite.

Later dining on a Saturday night was not a good idea. Out of a couple dishes from an already small menu. 8pm reservation and got seated at 8:20 or so. Our server Katie was outstanding. The food was not to the level we have come to expect at Birch. Was not horrible but conversely wasn’t outstanding. Fairly mediocre, which for the price didn’t make it a great value. If you go to Birch try an earlier seating and perhaps during. The week.
