Don't come to the south side of Milwaukee alot but when we do we stop at Benny's Cafe. I have a selection of a dinner mainly because I'm usually very hungry. Everything I've had has been very good . A steak or salmon has always been perfect. Our servers always friendly and willing too help in any way they can. Just an enjoyable experience each time I've been at Benny's cafe.
Extremely clean, staff exceptionally nice and friendly, generous portions! My husband ordered a patty melt and I ordered the chicken stir fry dinner. Food was hot and served up in a timely fashion. I expected my stir fry to be a little less salty. I think it was heavy on the soy sauce in the teriyaki sauce. My husband loved it, so we switched dinners. His burger was yummy!! The tapioca for dessert was delicious, too. We'll be back!
Always wonderful. The only thing that's better than the food are the servers and management.☺️☺️☺️☺️ We eat there at least 3-5 times a month. It was one of my parents favorite places and they are gone 10-15 years.
Looks like your average Mom n Pop kinda place but the staff friendly and helpful. Service has been great every time, food was NEVER disappointing or the cause for a hesitation.We dined in and I’ve also gotten take out from them and they have the eye for details. They always added utensils if we needed, which seems so small but tons of places don’t always do that when you order take out. They also tape the lids to things on too which we loved!The prices are more than fair! You get large portions, they aren’t shy. And did I say that it’s pretty good?
We had lunch here after a family friend's funeral.The staff took care of our party in the back room. We were close to the bathrooms. The food was hot and delicious. Everyone cleaned their plates.The staff always had a smile.

There are so many positives to this restaurant. Great prices and excellent cuisine. I am a soup junkie from them - their chicken dumpling must come from France:). Its 4 blocks away from my house and just to think ; back in the day the location used to be a McDonald'sHow ironic
My food was good & so was the service. We went for breakfast & the menu selection was very plain & over priced. I had really wished we had gone to Denny's after looking at their menu. They have a much better selection & have better prices.

I’ve been going here with family since I was very young. The staff is always welcoming and personable. You get quite a bit of food for the price and it always tastes delicious. I’m a big fan of their soups. I frequently just order a quart of their soup to go because it’s just so good. Definitely recommend.
