Bacchus was absolutely delicious everything was a total win from beginning to end. The asparagus salad to start with with crunchy, salty and fresh , the filet was perfectly cooked and the sauce that accompanied it was delectable. The star for me was the lemon curd for dessert, it wasn't your classic presentation of lemon curd it was about a million times better. Run don't walk to Bacchus they know how its done !!!
The service and food were outstanding. The ambiance was fantastic. The filet medallion was everything that other reviewers said it was and more. The taste and presentation of each course was amazing. Will diffidently be going back.
It was a delightful night to celebrate an anniversary. Delicious food, perfect portions, and attention to detail was spot on. Highly recommend this place.
Impeccable customer service and delicious food can't be beat.
What a delicious experience! We enjoyed both the food and service. Had 3 course menu. Lamb ravioli and octopus very tasty. For entrees pork tenderloin and salmon also very good. The caramel pecan and vanilla cinnamon ice creams excellent.
Food and service went beyond outstanding ... everything was phenomenal. We could not have asked for a better dining experience. Highly recommend Bacchus and really, any of the Bartolotta restaurants ... they are a first-class organization and the talent they higher are second to none!
Lovely location and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, there were a number of significant drawbacks to our visit: - Service was spotty, even considering Covid/staffing issues: no wait staff was assigned to us until we complained 25 minutes into being seated; soup was served without a spoon, folks around us received bread/etc whereas we had to ask for it (even after we finally got someone to pay attention to us); needed to constantly ask for drink refills and even refill of the water bottle on the table; - Not menu friendly. A prix fixe menu can be great but one of only 2 options had red meat on it and the staff refused to make a substitution for a person who didn't eat red meat (there were fish options on the other menu but we were told they didn't make substitutions). If you're not a red meat eater, you'll be limited to the 3 course prix fixe menu, which is disappointing and not something they told us before we sat down; - Not much value - the food was certainly high quality, but the fish was overcooked/dry, so it was an appetizer, overcooked fish, and a dessert for $70. Not great value, even in today's price environment. I'm sure that all the above can be addressed, and we certainly understand that Covid/staffing issues are a problem everywhere, but we've been to other similar restaurants in MKE that seem to have a found a way to avoid the issues described above.
Bacchus seems to be getting better and better. We celebrated my wife's birthday and chose a three-course dinner. I had the lamb ravioli, which started with an explosion of rich flavor. The pasta did not overpower the the lamb. The peas were fresh peas that had a nice crunch to them. My wife chose the very tasty salad. We both decided on the filet medalion. This was a nice hunk of beef filet that was delicious, especially with the mushroom, the merlot butter, and the cause on the side. We both selected the chocolate mouse which was a rich smooth dark chocolate with a white chocolate center. The wine selection is outstanding.
My wife and I had an absolutely lovely anniversary dinner at Bacchus. We were waited on by Shadi and Peter who both took excellent care of us. Chris, the head sommelier has put together a fantastic wine list. Every dish was wonderful, weâre looking forward to celebrating future milestones there.
The food was fabulous. Terrific overall experience!
