The rib tips very hard and burnt and the shoulder was cut into huge pieces and sauce was poured over...not cooked or basted on meat. The cole slaw was very warm and the beans...just horrible. The bread was stale...and this was what I paid $18.03 for? What a disappointment!
My sister treated me to some bar-b-que yesterday from Ashley's. I remember this place from years gone by and haven't been there for a while. All I can say is THAT WAS STILL THE BEST BAR-B-QUE take-out in Milwaukee, YUMMY!!!!! Im sold and will be back with friends! Good-bye other place ! LOL
The best tasting real grill cooked flavor, not boiled. Definitely worth the 35 minute drive.
I love the catfish, which was crusty and flaky, with lower salt than other places. Yams/sweet potatoes had a really nice nutmeg taste and they weren't overly sweetened. Mac and cheese isn't the saucy type, but the cheese was noticable. And they use she'll macaroni, a nice touch. Fries were crunchy outside and flavorful.My husband's rib tips disappeared fast, but his dressing (purchased separately) was dry. It had herbs and something I remember from my childhood, but can't name.All told, it was a very enjoyable dinner.
I went there on a Sunday after attending Church and there was a young boy with dreads taking the orders and was so rude. Then on top of that, I had three $20s in my wallet and mistakenly gave him all three $20s. My food added up to $28 and I didn't notice until I got home that I gave him too much money and remember that he bent down for a second after I paid for the food. Possibly put it in his sock. Smh, someone may say it's my fault; but honesty should come with the business. The food taste like it been sitting in a warmer all day and the portions were so small for what I paid for. Hopefully the owners get it together and stop letting their kids or too young relatives take orders. Especially if they have a terrible attitude.
Have not been here due to Covid it was just to crowed. So I decided to try them because Speed Queen drive thru was closed n there Dine In was crowded.I ordered tips here there were nice n tender until when I warm up them next day at the bottom I notice few burnt n bones. I will go back again they are better than Speed Queen just need to cut that bone at the top of the tips
Ashley's has always been good in the past. This is the only time I have gotten a meal with so much Fat on the beef. Will go back as the food is usually great with no complaints.
The food was good but my order was incorrectly done. A little on the saucy side but other than that the bbq is delicious!
Food is great but the service that I received was poor. It was young male working at the time and it was customer that was kinda mad about his order. He was yelling a little at the man. So after the the dude left dude the cashier dude had an attitude with me. He was rude and acted like didn’t want answer my questions about the meals. I told him don’t take your attitude out on me I didn’t do nothing to you. So I left.
It would be nice if y’all answered the phone instead of picking up and hanging up! That’s very rude!
