My son and I came in Town for his bike race and he wanted eat Mediterranean food, which Apollo Cafe is an excellent place for. I found it on Google Map and ordered the Mediterranean Salad and Tuna Souvalaki for dinner and Baklava and Rizogala (rice pudding). They are all very fresh and mouth watering. I called them in advance for carryout and when I got there the food was ready. The staff were super friendly and pleasant. The price is very reasonable. This restaurant is located in a vibrant urban are on Brady Street. There are a few other nice restaurants nearby also. The interior of the restaurant is clean and features some Apollo themed painting and decorations which is great. Would love to dine in when there is an opportunity. Will definitely come again!!!
This place never disappoints. My mom and I are obsessed. I lived 4 blocks from it, moved, and still drive from the suburbs to enjoy their food. The owner and father are always so sweet. I’ve never walked into the establishment feeling unwelcome. The owner always has a smile on his face and is so friendly. Their gyros are no joke - always delicious, my mom and I love their Mediterranean salad (the feta cheese chunks, omg) and lamb shank. Will always be a staple for us when we want Greek!
We were in neighborhood strolling enjoying amazing weather and the smell caught our attention. What amazing food! Great ordering help and perfect portions! Outdoor seating was perfect to relax and people watch Until our food was ready. Thanks!
I have been here several times and the food has never disappointed. Pleasant staff and great location on Brady St. We went here on a cold day and the dining room was somewhat cold, the older building is likely hard to insulate and heat.
I make a point of coming here every time I’m in Milwaukee. I always get the saganaki and then mix and match Greek plates. Had the avgolemono soup today and almost cried because it tasted just like my mom’s recipe. This place hits the spot for a homesick Greek girl!
The chicken was overcooked and dry. I wonder if they just microwaved it from the night before. The rice was cold. The pita was good.
Just go!!!The food was incredible!! The Lamb Shank was delicious, but Gyro pita sandwich was favorite! I will order this every time I go!!! So much meat too!! Such an amazing deal! So yummy!!!! Also baklava was delicious too!Seriously go! If you like lamb, you will LOVR this place!!!
The quality of taste of our old gyro joint was slowly diminishing, Google mapped and tried Apollo, how did we not know about this place. Gyro is seasoned made to order, salad was very fresh, escaping atmosphere, and very friendly. Our new gyro joint!
Delicious food....in my waking thoughts ?. Everything looks delicious. I am hooked on the Mediterranean salad with chicken YUM YUM YUM. + a side of delicious hummus. Best lunch or dinner.
Beautiful little restaurant, and better than most Greek food I've had outside of Chicago or the Detroit area.
