Anodyne is a great study spot. The pizza is great, if a little small and pricey. My only complaint is that they charge you for coffee refills. This means that you end up paying more to stay in the cafe because you only get 8 oz of house coffee in their mugs, but if you get a to go cup, you get 12 oz (or whatever size you order). The Internet is also a little bit of a pain to access, but I still enjoy working here.
Although I've long since moved from Bayview, Anodyne will always have a place in my heart. And I make it a point to visit every time I'm in the area. Their coffee is fantastic. And the staff is great. Grab a pizza, some bakery, a beer, or a coffee. Whatever mood you are in, Anodyne can accommodate.
We just stopped for coffee. The honey bee cappuccino with oat milk is phenomenal. Very cute merchandise and building. The bags of whole beans are expensive.
A coffee shop that also has pizza and beer. Or a pizza place that also serves coffee??? Either way, fantastic place to meet up with a friend or grab dinner. Plenty of seating options if you intend to hang out for a while. LOVE the iced coffee.
Anodyne coming in clutch this Ramadan! Thank you for being open after sunset, your caffein-deprived Muslim friends are grateful ☕️
I have been there last week and loved the pizza and quick service they offer. Coffe tasted good and so the ambience was nice. It was evening and was busy spot with good vibes.
This is a great spot in Bayview with a warm and quiet environment. Great for grabbing a cup of coffee and getting some work done or having a work meeting.
This place was amazing! Its close to Valentines day and I order their dark chocolate covered strawberry frap! It was amazing good and if you don't like too much espresso this is for you! I enjoyed the atmosphere at this place and love small businesses who have their own coffee roast! Excellent coffee shop and cannot wait to go back and try their pizza!
Terrible experience at this place, On Wednesday 02/02/2022 at 7:30pm at The milwaukee public market location after having a lovely meal at St Paul’s we wanted to get some coffee. We stopped by since it was on our way out. The barista was in the corner chatting with someone obviously not working. She leaves the conversation and approaches the countertop. Proceeds to question us about not wearing masks and tells us that by company policy she cannot serve us coffee because we are not wearing masks. We told the young lady thank you and walked out. It’s just absurd to me that this is company policy, it’s absurd because there was a plastic shield between us, she was wearing a mask and the payment would’ve been done electronically. So she essentially was okay with approaching us not wearing masks but not serving us coffee. So it really makes me question the reasoning. Is it really in fear of Covid? ( she and I are most likely vaccinated).. is it laziness because it was near closing? Or was it just some mindless political narrative that they stand by? I think it’s just very disrespectful.I would advise Anody to offer customers masks if they’re going to have such policy then maybe they won’t lose customersNot that it’s relevant but,I walked into the market wearing a mask, the lobster roll gets really buttery, I grabbed the mask and didn’t want to put it on my face anymore because I got butter on it.
The wood fired pizza here is my family's favorite. It's light and crispy at the crust but softer towards the middle with all your toppings. They're more of a personal size so it makes a great lunch stop before activities you wouldn't want to be too stuffed for. They have quality coffee too! Seating is best for small groups but we've pushed tables together before to make more room.
