The food was very basic, like generic. Won't be eating here again. They were understaffed, but the waitress we did have was friendly

Stopped here for lunch today with the “let’s try something new” attitude. Yeah for us! So yes, it had that hmmm, old school is this the right choice feel when we walked in. So glad we did. Straight out of classic Milwaukee… dark lighting, neon, lanterns at each table but who cares, how was the service right?! Wow!! So they were short handed, she let us know when we sat down but she was on it. Dang! Kudos to our waitress who didn’t let anything slide - she’s going to be tired tonight! As the tables started filling up she just kept her same awesome attitude, apologizing for delay when really there wasn’t one! The food was great! Big selection, we stuck with apps & burgers - they were good and huge nod to still asking how people like their burger cooked! Def get the homemade chips over the fries. But as a parent I just want to say, yes my kids are culinary genius’ (ha) and we got the Mac and cheese - it was good! Lots of time kids meals are an afterthought, this wasn’t. (Soybean oil is used for those peanut allergy folks) Overall this is about 5 minutes from us and we will def be back!!!

Amelia’s had been our go-to for Friday Fish Fry for a lot of years and then just before COVID there was a noticeable drop in quality. We stopped visiting during the worst of the pandemic and only recently decided to give them another try.we are glad we did.We visit for the food — not for the bar — and there have been a couple service wobbles; but it seems many restos are struggling with service staff so I mention it as a matter fact, not a reason not to give them a try.Their fish fry (both Friday special and weekday on menu)is usually our reason for visiting and the fish is always well cooked, usually freshly battered. Fridays give you a choice of species, weekdays offer cod only.On this last visit we tried one of their monthly specials and we should have stuck with the fish. Eggplant Parmesan arrived after an unusually long wait. The eggplant wasn’t thoroughly cooked and arrived under cheese and sauce and not breaded (if that is what you expect). Sauce was ok, over angel hair pasta. I think we’ll stick with the fish fry in the future.

happy hour, taco's . good staff

Typical south side restaurant. The bar was busier than the restaurant. Being across the street from the airport the aviation theme was fitting. Husband had the patty melt and I had the BLT. Both were good. Homemade chips were a little burnt. Restaurant could use an update or at least a good cleaning. Waitress was very nice and attentive. It's a long drive for us but would go back if we are in the area again.

We ordered two steak dinners at $20 each, price listed on the menu. When the bill came we we charged $23 each. When brought to the waitress's attention prior to paying she spoke to the owner. He refused to change the price on the bill to the price listed on the menu. This is just wrong. Is this even legal? Watch your bill when you get it if you should choose to eat here.

My mother and I went for Friday fish fry last week we ordered margaritas that had no tequila in them literally zero. Then I tiped 20% to my server but they still increased her tip a dollar. Fish was obviously frozen before it was cooked because the fried filets were dripping water. Never again.

St Patrick's Day dinner was very disappointed experience altogether. This used to be a favorite place to go to. Has me questioning if it's new ownership. No one greeted us as we came in so I wasn't sure if we were to seat ourselves in the restaurant so we just made the decision. Cabbage was crunchy and unpleasant. When we notified them, the waitress response was a little shocking news you never want to hear from a business, " yea, alot of people are saying that. I'm not sure, maybe they didn't have enough time to cook it" ? well that did it for me.But then we asked for some thousand island dressing and it was extremely spicy. Since when is that dressing spicy? No warning or anything. I have horrible reflux so I couldn't even eat it. She took off the one meal due to the cabbage being so hard. Couldn't even chew through some pieces. Yet we got served with this plate....as well as others as it sounds. And doesn't seem they thought it was important enough to immediately fix. Last time there for us!!

I had a lovely Chicken Marsala, one of the specials of the day. The chicken was tender, mushrooms plentiful and the sauce was good. My partner wolfed their Reuben sandwich and said it was flavorful. Food came out quickly despite it being a busy Saturday night during dinnertime. I had ice tea and my partner had Diet Coke, which was refilled promptly.
