I'll give this 1 star because the place looks nice but to be honest we were never able to try the beer or food.On July 3rd we were meeting a couple friends here for a quick beer before getting dinner at another downtown location. We knew they closed at 7, our friends arrived at 640 and were served 2 beers. We arrived just as out friends were sitting down outside, we quickly entered the building and walked right to the bar. We were told they closed at 7, we said it's OK we only want a beer, this was at 645. We were then scolded by another man behind bar, seemed to possibly be the manager, that last call was at 630. We asked how our friends who arrived at 640 were served, he then got louder and ruder and again said they close at 7 and last call was at 630.We would never ask for special treatment to get served past closing time, but when iyr friends who arrived and were served past the 630 mark, and then we were rudly spoken to that was frustrating. We regularly patron the king st area. Do your self a favor and visit Settle Down, Oz by Oz, Lucille or many other of the wonderful dinning/drink spots in that area. All these have much better service. And too me that's what sets a place apart from others.
Another beautiful building in Madison. Great beer selection and a little bit of a strange food menu, but not in a bad way at all. We had a couple beers, mine was ‘mark it an eight dude’ I believe. It was great. We also got the ‘trashy but classy deviled eggs’ and they were great. Cool spot. Would definitely recommend to others.
Amazing beer! Awesome Service! Fun location
I stopped at their location to cool off after checking bout the farmer's market around the capitol. They've got such a great location! Just down the street from the capitol building. I was aware of their beers before visiting because they're very available in my local market. They brew a very wide variety of styles that are fairly accessible to most tastes. The location had a good amount of seating both indoors and out and their food menu was just as interesting as their beer menu. The yakitori was very delicious!
The perfect place to satiate the Midwestern urge to sit outside and drink a beer the second it gets above 60 degrees. With hilariously named beers that swap out almost daily, I've always been particularly drawn to their fruit pastry sours (I don't even know if those exist in other places, do they?).The whole stuff is lovely and well-connected even if I can't say the same thing for my phone service when I walk in (beware, Verizon customers).Definitely come here!
The range of beer styles is very good plus many have a great twist on them
Great atmosphere, great beer and a great staff!
Perfect for a sunny day and lite snack. Beers are really good. They many not have much collection but they are best at what they have. Nice place to visit.
I just had the best beer I have EVER had in my 30 legal drinking age years on the planet. Friendly helpful bartenders, great atmosphere. If you are one of the Madison residents that "doesn't like going downtown" because of parking or whatever your reason, but you like interesting beer, GO! It is worth it.
Had heard all kinds of hype about this brewery, and it definitely delivered! Wonderful vibe starting at the curb, and continuing through the really intimate space inside. Great beer with an incredible amount of flavor, great staff, and a lot of thought put into everything from the decor to the sound system and the menu of both food and beer. Do not miss out on this place!
