Like many people, I came here to eat because it was the only thing open in Madison on a weekday after 11pm. The food was lukewarm and expensive. The sauces I tried were really not that good and nobody mentioned that my tenders would come lathered in them. Further, the chicken is basically Kwik Trip chicken, but at least KT's chicken comes hot and for a fraction of WS's price.
They are significantly worse and much more expensive since before they closed and reopened. I could tell that when they re-vamped the menu it was probably an excuse to raise prices, which I somewhat understand with how the fast-food market has changed but what I did not expect is that food quality would get worse as well. If I am paying $40 for a meal I expect to get a decent quality or at least on the same level as what used to cost $25 a few years ago from the same restaurant. Why even reopen at all if this was the plan?
I was a faithful WOM customer until the fire, then I waited patiently for the reopen, and almost a year later, they're back as good as ever. I see some reviews saying the quality slipped post-reopen, and in the few times I've ordered since then, I haven't noticed any differences. Seriously, the quality is great given the low price (relative to competitors.) If you're used to the more expensive wings places, you may not like WOM, but you have to take it for what it is. And I like what it is, I haven't been disappointed yet.
The staff was incredible and kind, I will say that. But I’ve heard people rave about this place and it just was not good tonight. I love wings and the sauces and chicken just weren’t that great. I did like the honey mustard dip sauce and fries were okay.
This is the WORST place I have ever eaten at. Decided to give them a try because everything else was closed. BIG BIG MISTAKE! My chicken wings were under cooked and had little to no sauce on them. A total waste of $30.
Best wings in town. The waffle fries are amazing. I’ve yet to be disappointed by the food.Delivery can be very hit or miss. You’re running a good risk of cold wings and fries if you order for delivery.
Wings were just ok. The sauces were not as distinct of flavors as you get at other wing places. Mango habanaro just tasted like some mildly spicy bland thing. As did all the others. I even ordered extra sauces to try. Nothing stood out as good. Wings were big, meat was tender and juicy, but the cook on the skins was gross. Raw and rubbery. Yuck. It was like 25 wings or all with gross flabby rubbery skin. I peeled some off to just eat the meat but it wasnt a good experience. . I dont know - I see photos here where people food looks way better than what I had. Weird.Bacon chicken wrap with fries was great. No complaints.I ordered celery. This was a delivery order. So I ate some of the wrap and wings first. I went to eat the celery, but was grossed out. It wasn't just old/wilty - both ends of every piece in both bags was soft brown and with furry grey mold starting to grow. Who would send that? I'd be not overly upset if they just didnt send the celery. It is only $1 each. But after seeing all the molded ends, I felt weird about eating the rest of my meal. I'm not sure if it was just an error sending molded stuff or if it is the type of kitchen where this is ok.Because of the celery thing and the wings just being okay at best, I'm not interested in ordering from them again (there are just better options).I dont like throwing food away. Usually I'll eat my take over left overs all week. But the wings were just too gross. It's a waste of what was budgeted to be enjoyable to eat for the remainder of the week. At least I know I dont want to order from here again.
This used to be one of our favorite places; we were so excited to try it again now that it’s reopened. Very disappointing. The wings were barely sauced, and flavorless. the waffle fries were cold and terrible. You’d think for how expensive they are, it would be better. Very sad, definitely not worth it anymore.
Super awesome experience all around, staff was really awesome and super friendly food was great, I had the tenders with mango habanero sauce and they were really good. I do wish that they had real boneless wings though rather than the tenders
Order was left on our neighbors porch with no call, but after a call to the place, they sent out a new order and hand delivered it. Best wings I've had, period.
