Great caterer to work with for wedding. Very responsive with communication and easy to work with! The wait staff was absolutely amazing at the wedding. There was a slight mix up with which color meant which dish, and they fixed it instantly and professionally! Highly recommend working with them!
Kayla was a pleasure to work with... Very accommodating of our ever-changing agenda/schedule due to COVID.The stuffed mushrooms and mac 'n cheese bites were both excellent. We were lucky to get a few of each before our guests devoured them all (the caterers made a point to save some for us). We were a bit disappointed with our dinners though. My husband and I both got two entrees since we couldn't decide on just one each. My husband's chicken was dry and his beef was just okay. My beef was pretty good, but not as great as when we taste-tested it. My ravioli was barely warm when I got to it though and the sauce didn't have much flavor. All of our guests seemed pleased with their meals and we didn't hear of any complaints; however with our meals coming out first, I imagine some guest's meals were slightly cold as well by the time they were delivered.We had really high hopes for the food after test testing everything and being extremely impressed. Overall good experience just a little bit of a miss on the final delivery.
5 stars and more for this company!!. They truly provided an unforgettable day for me & my family. My father passed away in November, and we wanted to have the celebration of life at our family home which is way out in the country away from Madison (1.5 hour drive) we called them just a few days before we needed their catering services and without blinking an eye agreed to cater our event which took place outdoors in a rental tent. They provided a full on thanksgiving meal for 150 people, my dads favorite meal and it was delicious. Would absolutely use them again & suggest them to anyone in need of great service and tasty food!
Thank you to Upstairs Downstairs for your wonderful service and excellent food at our daughter's wedding. Kayla and Dan were so helpful throughout the planning process. Tom, the lead of their service team, was professional and friendly plus he did a great job overseeing the service of our passed appetizers and meal. We received countless compliments on all 3 of the brides' dinner selections (beef wellington, Wisconsin chicken, and butternut squash ravioli). Upstairs Downstairs not only provides outstanding food and service, they do it at a very competitive price. I would definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to others.
We are so glad we chose Upstairs Downstairs Catering to do our wedding. Kayla and Daniel were so friendly, helpful, and responsive. They were available for any questions we had and made the entire process so easy.The food was delicious! It was so much fun picking out the passed appetizers, dinner & sides. Everyone at the wedding enjoyed everything they ate.Aside from the food, they also provided table linens, napkins, all silverware/plates, etc. The options were endless and we appreciated being able to do it through all one company so we had less people to coordinate with. Before the big day, we had a meeting to confirm everything and edit any changes that may have happened since the first meeting. I keep saying it was so easy...but it really was!Cannot thank Kayla, Daniel, and the entire Upstairs Downstairs staff for making our day so amazing.

The food was great! We also ordered an evening snack for our wedding guests of pizza & soft pretzels that were gone in minutes. We loved working with Kayla & Dan!

Upstairs Downstairs catered our wedding and blew us and our guests away with the quality of the food. This wasn’t just good wedding food, this was good food in general! Besides the taste, it was all cooked perfectly and came out to all of the tables at the appropriate temperature. We would highly recommend their services for anyone planning an event!
Kayla was wonderful to work with during this process. We got to try several food options before deciding anything, and they were all so good that we knew our wedding buffet was going to be a hit. They were very accommodating about having sauces on the side and changing the ravioli from porta bella to cheese within the last month before the wedding. Everyone raved about the food and how good it was. We got cupcakes through UpDown as well. There seemed to have been some confusion on the day of the wedding of who was providing them (they thought we were and they were just putting them out for us) but they made a call and got us the cupcakes we ordered. We also had a late night snack - a nacho bar - that was a crowd pleaser. They wrapped up all the leftover food for us to take home. Would definitely recommend them!
