I order the Chow Mein Noodles second level spice and it was good! I will note that it was still decently spicy so not recommended if you are sensitive to spice. The waiter was very kind and the interior is a bit small but still nice. I would go back again.
This was a good experience. I got the Korean BBQ Tofu and the dumplings and they did taste good. The staff is friendly and they have lots of vegetarian options.
Best bhajji I've had- best pakora-like fritters anywhere in the States. Decent samosas, good size. Excellent afghan korma curry, and perfect spice level. I recommend putting some on the bhajji. The daily benito was a little lacking, but tasted good...I just wish there was more bulk to it. Was given tomato achar instead of raita, but at least I was able to try that and the tamarind sauce. Overall, good! But I'm still on the hunt for the best samosas, and I think I'll stick to their curries over the benitos.
Great little place off State street. Small dining room but amazing staff and owners. We were with three kids 12, 11 & 7 who all gave it great reviews. The Tibetan dumplings fried were outstanding. We also enjoyed the Indian curry, Thai coconut curry and the Korean BBQ… all with amazing flavor. If your in the mood for something different go check it out.
This restaurant is totally awesome. Excellent food, wide variety of menu items, very friendly staff and reasonable prices. It's small and not all that big on atmosphere but if you want a fantastic dining experience this is the place to go!
I discovered this place yesterday while walking around Madison. I could smell this restaurant as I was getting closer to it. It smells incredible & the food is so full of flavor. I twas not disappointing at all. The employees are so kind & on top of it. I 100% will be returning. I wish I had taken a picture of my meal because it was so beautifully presented.
I LOVE this place! I first discovered it in OCT 2019 while traveling to Madison for work. I live in Las Vegas. I eat here, multiple times per work trip. The food is delicious, the owner is awesome, and service is always great. I don’t like traveling for work, but I look forward to coming to Madison because of this restaurant. The mango coconut curry, bajji, 15 bean soup, coconut cauli chowder, samosas and more are all so flavorful.I will always recommend this place to coworkers, and I look forward to many more meals from The Globe!Thank you for the delicious food and for always saying hello and being courteous.
The Globe is my favorite restaurant in Madison. Huge selection of reasonably-priced food from around the globe, each tasting better than the last. The staff is very friendly, and the gentleman behind the counter made sure I ordered something I hadn’t tried before. I’ve recommended the restaurant to several friends, and they all loved it too. Would eat there every day if I could. Not a lot of seating inside which makes dining in a bit cramped, but a welcoming ambiance nonetheless!
Went for Dine in on a Wednesday night. There isn't a ton of seating (20 people capacity) and it is closely packed, but we were able to get a table to ourselves. Very steady flow of people doing take-out/delivery such that the place always had a couple of people waiting on food. It looked like it was run by about 2 people ( 1 front and 1 or 2 back) and they kept pace.Food: 5/5 - We had the curry noodles and Korean BBQ rice dish per recommendation from the employee at the front. Both were excellent and we didn't have any leftovers.Price: 4/5 - The price was very fair. All prices are going up, but at $13-$15 a plate it was worth it. I don't know about more, but definitely not less.Service: 5/5 - For being run by 2 people, they kept up with all of the orders for both takeout and dine in. My water glass was never empty, plates were cleaned promptly, and having great recommendations on what to try was also a plus.Ambience: 2/5 - Being honest, the place was quite cold (most people kept their coats on and a thermometer near was at 45 F while it was about -10 outside) and there weren't any notably interesting things to look at. Probably not a place I'd recommend for dine-in, but DEFINITELY still a place to visit.Bathrooms: available and cleanParking: Street parking
Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you. The restaurant itself is very small, with only a handful of tables, but the flavor is all there. And they have very friendly service.
