Food was good... However our desserts weren't as good. It's unfortunate because we don't normally get dessert with dinner when eating out, but this time warranted it. It happens to be the same night the staff was crazy slammed with a bunch of groups who were out on the town for their prom night...which was fun to see. What wasn't so fun was that our service had to suffer from it. From the time we were seated til the time we were trying to pay, we were kind of forgotten about a few times because of being tucked off into the private room. We actually sat for about 30 min before someone in our group decided to leave the room to look for our server. (Yes, I actually know how long we waited because I was looking at the time due to trying to check on my homework really quick before the staff would come). The best part was the dinner itself. Food came out really quick after placing our order and it was hot. The hot tea was ironically hot, though. But other than that, it was a decent experience. My family and I stopped in while we were in town, but don't frequent here to Madison so we're also unsure if this is the usual chaos for a weekend evening. Overall, we'd love to try this place again, without the distractions of the multiple large parties if we were passed through here.
Had shrimp tempura roll, California roll and scallops. Maybe the hibachi might be worth a try but the sushi and scallops were less than average at best. 30 dollars was way too much for the quality of food. The food was quick, the service was good and the place was clean but I would recommend trying a different place. Honestly the worst sushi I've ever ate
Absolutely love this place. occasionally we have to wait at the bar for a hibachi table which is perfectly fine because the bartenders know us enough now to know our drinks. which by the way are always amazing. Than when it comes to our food and service during the dining experience are always great. We usually get Evan as a cook and have even waited specifically for him because he also knows us and remembers our order and always cooks it to perfection
Long wait times . The server just tried to rush everyone around . Food comes late and they want you to finish and go.You go to a restaurant to relax and enjoy with family. Not only us ,even people next to us felt the same.when they kept their fork down after the last bite. The server came quickly, asked you are done ? Didn't wait for response and took to the plates and handed the check. They aren't even very welcoming . The prices are exorbitant and not even worth . The only thing good was the grill master. They make you feel so unwelcomed and off. It was our first time. We kept on saying we don't know how it works and there wasn't a proper explanation. We wanted to walk away but thought let's see how it goes. They really need to focus on their customer service which is very very poor and not at all pleasant. Not a place to go and enjoy a good meal with family . Very very unwelcoming . Haven't had this experience anywhere . Very very disappointed and would never go again. Biggest setback was their server. She was Extremely rude and not interested.
Hibachi table is very fun. Food is excellent.
This is a great spot on Madison's east side. Excellent menu with many sushi and hot food selections. The hibachi menu is always great as well. Even better when your at a table with strangers who are enjoying themselves. If you're looking for Asian, and can't decide. Just go here. They'll have something you'll like.
Food was amazing! Grill master was Fantastic! We almost walked out. Never being here before we did not realize that there was a minimum amount of Hibachis to be ordered for her party. There is no signage, we were not informed so we all ordered our entres from the menu after recieving drinks. waitress then informed us we were no longer able to sit at out table because we didn't have enough grill orders. We decided to leave due to the embarrassing communication. A manager came over and approved. If she simply would have said we do require a minimum order of hibachi per party - we would have changed our order. As poor as the server and as flat as the beer - the food and show was well worth it! We know better next time and will be back!! Bathrooms clean! Grill clean! We had a bento box, orange chicken, shrimp ramen, yummy Sushi, steak hibachi and they were all delicious!

Took my family here a couple of weeks ago. We loved it! The service was excellent. The food was fantastic. Prices were reasonable. The atmosphere was a lot of fun. We will be back! And we live about 45 minutes away.
Its a Japanese chain so a few things are off...like the tempura vegetable appetizers are NOT gresh tempura battered but breaded frozen items that are fried.Your hibachi salad will be drowned in dressing. That aside...the place is very clean, service excellent, and sushi fresh. The hibachi chef is fun and a decent cook.
