This store is a lot more chaotic than the location up on the capital square. Lately they’ve had a lot of staffing issues and routinely close early. Keep in mind that some days when you want to get your latte on you may be denied by a sign that says we closed early today. Overall when operating this store does a good job of handling the high demand of being right next to campus.

My wife and I ordered two drink on Sunday, waited a few minutes, walked out the door, as we approached our car, a customer and Starbucks employee followed us to our car, pointed fingers at my wife and said “Did you steal the tip jar?” As we were about to get into our car! I couldn’t believe this! My first response was F#$& no! We didn’t steal your tip jar! They peered into our car, looked around, and said we were identified by customers! I asked who, followed them back to the door. As they went inside and came back out a couple minutes later and said we were the wrong couple identified! of course I was furious! The Starbucks employee said let me give you a gift card for accidentally blaming us for stealing their tip jar, she gave me a gift card for $4. of course this is not about the money but I think they should’ve been accurate in their accusation! Starbucks employee did apologize and said I’m sorry I was in the back! I was completely embarrassed to be called out in the parking lot, this situation bothered me a lot! And might I suggest maybe they keep the tip jar behind the counter! This happened at Starbucks on 21st S. and State Street in Salt Lake City about a quarter after 11 on Sunday! I wanted to clarify at the time of writing this it said the wrong location!

Store was closed but there was no sign to explain it to we ended up sitting in the drive thru for 10 minutes. A line of cars was behind us and I assume they’re gonna have the same problem as us.

Spelled my names wrong twice. Rude and ignorant staff. i ordered caramel latte, gave me pep mint mocha.....

Starbucks have some great coffee, hot chocolate and frappes.

I’m from Baltimore, MD, everyone in Madison, WI including the baristas at this Starbucks were super polite. The guy behind me was seemingly a hard customer and the barista at register handled him super professionally, they all worked really great under pressure in a high volume store like this 20+ people in the lobby @3pm on a Tuesday.. but there are bugs! I’m assuming the busy volume of the store contributes to less down time / cleaning time. But someone needs to do a clean play and call an exterminator immediately! There were about 10 cockroaches hanging out in plain sight on the glass behind the espresso machines, bathing in syrup. We got a refund and left! I’d definitely avoid this location.

By decor, more urbane than Collectivo, and doesn't seem socialist at all. I'm not a fan of strong, grainy (African inspired?)coffee. Best coffee (rich yet mild) I ever had was at Holiday Inn- Paris Orly airport on the 80's. Nice that they're able to keep soap in the dispenser. Better than anywhere at UW for sure.

COCKROACHES! There were like 10 of them behind the espresso bars on the glass and the baristas just acted like, yeah we know I’ll get ya a refund

My experience was really bad from delaying my order ( which was drip coffee) to not putting milk (which I asked for) to spelling the milk all over the place when I asked for milk, and no apology until I looked at him with dissatisfaction.

For a Starbucks this busy, they are always quick, friendly, and get my order correct!
