Love the look and feel of this place. Blue subway tile, 1950’s diner-style tables and chairs, indoor and outdoor seating options. Love the manageable menu with unique options. Wish the burgers came with fries or chips; the plate looks a little sad with just a burger, but I enjoyed it regardless.
Service was enthusiastic and attentive. For a Madison restaurant, kind of a limited beer menu. Dinner choices also minimal, however, everything we had was delicious
Really cool spot with great outdoor seating. The service was excellent, I felt very welcome and had a great chat with the waiters. I had a couple of drinks as well which were very well balanced, high quality and beautifully prepared. The food choice is not extensive but the offered options were great. I recommend getting the pickled veggies as an appetizer or side, since they were delicious.
I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Settle Down a couple times now and I’m very impressed with the food. It’s a small menu, but I believe that’s why the food is so delicious. The first time I got a vegetarian burger with fries and the burger was so good without it being oily or greasy. Not sure how that is possible but the chef makes it happen! The second time I had the fried chicken sandwich special and oh my, what a treat. Dare I say it was the best chicken sandwich I’ve had?! Keep it up, settle down!
Great vibe and friendly staff! The Good Idea Burger really is a good idea — it’s bursting with awesome flavor. Haven’t had a burger quite like it. Fries and Bloody Mary were really yummy, too!
Great friendly service and vibes. Smashburger was decent but I really enjoyed the hush puppy cheese curds. Will be back to try more.
This place is the real deal. Table service was fast and the food was incredible. Had the Good Idea burger, A fried chicken sandwich that was the days special and the cheese puppies. The burger was one of the best burgers I have ever had, the flavor combo and the pillow soft potato bun was out of this world. The fried chicken sandwich was equally as good.. thin chicken breast deep fried to a crisp while the meat was still tender. The spices where incredible!. The cheese puppies where perfect. The breading was light and the cheese was some of Wisconsin's finest. Plain and simple EAT HERE!
loved this place!!! stopped in on a whim for a quick dinner with my boyfriend and so glad we did! super cute and atmospheric place, host and server were so incredibly nice + food was served quickly and was soooo good! (definitely try the good idea burger!)not only am I coming back asap but also gonna recommend this place to everyone :)
Excellent food and service. Appetizers are really good and the smashed burgers are the best. Apps pictures are the cheese curds and cauliflower
What a great place! Best food, drinks and service I have ever had. Connor and James are phenomenal, as is the entire staff. I will return every time I am in Madison, and I am looking forward to it. Definitely grab the ghost fries with a burger and red squirrel.
