the workers at sencha were so nice and friendly! they were very welcoming and were happy to explain the types of tea to me. overall wonderful experience

Sencha has been a staple in Madison for me for as long as I can remember. I love just being inside the space as the staff is very welcoming and the interior feels homey and well-put-together. They have a drink for every mood I'm in and any given barista answers questions in a way that is knowledgeable, polite and helpful. I would recommend to family and friends and that you try something new while you're there! Also great for studying or just collecting your thoughts and reflecting on a slow (especially if it's rainy) day. Thanks Sencha!
A Madison must-have!! I get a boba here practically every time I go to State St, which is a lot. Drinks are byo but they have some prefixed options too. If you can’t decide, just ask the barista to recommend you something. I don’t think they really do food, just drinks.They have the cutest little gift things too, pins and plushies and tea stuff. They feature a different local artist every month!!!! Love Sencha, so glad they were able to get a new location still on State, tho tbh I am going to miss the old atmosphere (that building is being torn down so they had to move).
I absolutely love this place! I have been going for at least 7 years! They are amazing with the texture of the boba and jellies, and the teas always taste amazing!
Cute atmosphere and a perk is they're open late. Got a Chai but wow was it sweet and definitely untraditional. Okay selection of drinks but higher prices.
Fantastic staff, was very kind and helpful given I am not an expert of teas :) they recommended two different kinds, and both of them were amazing! The shop is small, but it's cozy, and very nice on a rainy day like when I visited.

Staff were so sweet went with a couple of my friends and I got a mystery drink (which was delicious :D) but my 2 friends got the blue matcha, which they weren't fans of, but they did ask the opinion of one of the staff and they were honest! The staff member wasn't a fan and then suggested another drink which, as a barista, I also know would've been better- but my 2 friends got the original drinks they were debating on and in the end didn't like, and griped about it in which I gave them a simple "we told you so" so they had nothing to complain about lol
Staff are super friendly! Tried multiple teas there and they are really good. Boba is always fresh and has a great consistency.
