A lot more than just Ramen. A very nice array of Japanese food. However, the teriyaki tofu came on a hot platter that overheated the sauce. Otherwise great food.
After visiting Japan and having authentic ramen, I have to say this place is the closest that I've seen in Madison. The ramen is comparable to ones I've had in Toronto, NY, and SF. I highly recommend it! Also, try the beef don! It was surprisingly amazing
We had gyōza, okonomiyaki, yaki soba, and tonkatsu ramen. The food was hot, fresh, and very tasty. The server was polite and very considerate. It is always a good spot to nosh.
A favorite of mine in the local neighborhood. I've always had good service here and the food has always been excellent.Parking can be precarious on busy nights, but I believe there is some street parking if you're not able to find a spot.I recommend their tonkotsu ramen.
I had a wonderful dine-in experience here right before covid, so I convinced my family to try some takeout with me recently and they LOVED it!My mom went for basics and tried the chicken fried rice which she very much enjoyed.I got the vegetarian ramen which never disappoints. It’s super savory and rich, which is rare in most restaurants’ vegetarian options. My dad had the tonkotsu shoyu ramen and he LOVED it.I also got some eggplant skewers on the side which were phenomenal, so much so that my dad wanted to try some and was inspired to pick up eggplant from the store the next day to try and make our own.Overall, 10/10 experience! Hoping to visit here again soon.
Place was clean, service was polite, food came fast, ramen was tasty and the portions size was good. Kids ramen was liked by my picky eater. It is just noodles, broth and slice of pork.
This was our first time here and it was amazing. We will definitely be back. The food was good, the service was excellent. And for the amount of food you get the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be back.
Three years ago, this was the best Ramen in Madison. Today the broth of my Sesame Ramen disappointed very much - watery and flavorless. They have so many Ramen to choose from plus lots of nice Japanese starters, though, and even okonomiyaki which you probably won't find anywhere else in town. They gyoza and shumai are very good. Can't recommend the karaage; it's tiny pieces of chicken with bland coating. The inside smelled like cigarettes for some reason. I must have really come at an unfortunate day today. I'm only going to reduce one star right now and maybe try again in a month. I've got many better memories.
It’s currently crazy snow conditions outside so we stopped to let the snow pass and grab some hot miso soup with our service dog and a walker. Host was over the top helpful and attentive to our needs and bathrooms were spotless. Oh did I mention the food was fast, tasty, and always hits the spot! Ordered calamari, miso soup, and the best chicken fried rice this side of the Mississippi
Food wasn’t horrible, but with all the amazing food in Madison, I cannot say it was good. All the food was overly greasy, didn’t use Japanese spices nor soy sauce. Ramen was OK. Like I said, I wouldn’t go back but staff was nice. Just wish that they would call it Asian fusion instead of having poorly prepared Japanese food!
