Absolutely AMAZING! these folx were especially nice during Our first (& so far, only) Visit (though we will DEFINITELY be returning!)! They kindly helped us place a to-go order about Thirty minutes before close (even though they were Understandably Short-Staffed due to pandemic crud). In addition to the INCREDIBLE CHICKEN SHAWARMA SANDWICH (combo!) that we enjoyed, we also Loved one spinach + one muhammara pie! Along w/some YUMMY biscotti's (coconut, black sesame & *surprise* ~ we're still having fun guessing That Flavor)! + they Awesomely offered BEST TURKISH DELIGHT ***EVER***!!!!!!! (DARK CHOCOLATE & PISTACHIO; & yes ~ the cost may have been $7⁹⁹ per Turkish Delight at the time of Our visit; but WORTH IT! especially when you consider, the picture Attached to this Review is HALF what we bought. We meant to Save a few photos of EVERYTHING we enjoyed ~ but ahh, well! All the more reason to visit again ASAP!) ?♀️?☮️

My husband and I have had countless falafel sandwiches, but the falafel pita I had today at Petra is now top of my list! Any future falafel sandwich will now be compared to this one. My husband got the falafel wrap and he loved his as well. The pita topped hummus was also amazing and the fries were crispy! Will definitely be coming back the next time we're in Madison! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Stopped in to pick up hummus, tabouli and pita bread. A wall of take out pastries was a nice surprise and found a favorite sesame cookie. Good food but interior is dark and not too welcoming. Front door needed a good cleaning too. If I hadn't lived in the middle East it would be a put off, but this is rather normal there. Don't let the appearance turn you away. Good food and authentic!

Petra has become my new favorite take out restaurant in Madison. The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious! I've loved everything I've tried there, with my 2 most frequently ordered meals being the chicken shawarma bowl and the Petra mixed grill with hummus. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. I can get 2 meals out of many of their entrees and they reheat very well. Baklava, grilled halloumi, hummus, pita, falafel, etc, it's all so good.

With a good selection of dishes and healthy options of everything from fries to Mediterranean wraps and bowls, Petra had something for everyone and doesn't disappoint on the food front. We called our order in and waited twenty minutes before driving down to collect and still had to wait another 15 minutes or so to collect. The eat-in area looked nice and tidy with a nice ambience but we didn't eat in

This place is a gem! We have eaten here twice already and both times have been delicious. First time I ordered chicken shawarma bowl and wow, huge portion and delicious fresh ingredients. Next time I ordered falafel wrap and it did not disappoint. Both portions were giant enough for two people and very fairly priced. Kids chicken kabobs were a hit as well. Definitely visit the restaurant but don’t forget to check out the bakery and their fresh pitas.

Perfect Cuisine where you enjoy the Arabic hospitality and authentic middle Eastern foods. The ambiance for Ramadan and the coffee afterwards made the experience cherished

Super tasty. Hummus is top notch, as was the Saj wrap. Looking forward to coming back so we can try some of the tasty flatbreads :)

Absolutely love going to this restaurant. The food tastes amazing and brings a new flavor to this city. I love the chicken shawarma and get it every time as well as baked goods. The garlic sauce and seasoning is amazing as well ?

Ordered via EatStreet delivery. We had the lentil soup, chicken shawarma bowls, and spinach pies. The soup was good but the shawarma was extraordinary - nice bits of pickle, yummy spices, and perfect yogurt. The portions were really generous. I've never had a spinach pie with pickle before and it was an amazing explosion of flavors! We'll definitely be back. It was a perfect lunch for a gloomy Monday.
