If I could give 10 stars I would. After being in the food industry for 25 + years I don't get excited about food. This place is the one exception. If the portions weren't so big I would have eaten 2 Gyros. Flat out amazing

Food was great. When we come from out of town it iss oue got to I will not get them from anywhere else! Fresh always and the service was great and quick. The atmosphere is nice has alot of seating inside and outside. Also they do not except EFT, CARDS NO CASH
So many restaurants have changed on State street. I'm glad to see this place is still around. Great gyros, good serving size, tasty food.
Was in the mood for gyros so found this place along the Avenue. Ordered through the website which was pretty straightforward. I went with the mega gyro which has 50% more meat than the OG as stated on the online menu.I scarf it all down within 5 mins and afterwards was feening for another one. I enjoyed it very much but it’s kind of on the pricey side at around $12. I usually buy gyros at other places at around $7-$8. I would definitely return to PG when I’m in Madison.

Fresh food, always! I love the spicy gyro with a side of fries. Mmm, perfection! There are many drink options including several types of soda and you can also grab a spotted cow to quench your thirst.
First time back since the late 1970's and they did not disappoint. Best gyros in the U.S. Homemade yogurt was excellent as well. Meat is fresh, not greasy. The regular gyros is not spicy - seasoned just right and gentle on the palate. Fresh and flavorful. Authentic and delicious. Staff are friendly and inside dining was clean and fun. I can't say enough good things.
Easily best gyros I've had in the US (and Ive eaten a number of them living in NYC). I grew up going here when I would visit family in Madison, and I always found them super delicious. I think they've decreased the amount of tzatziki over time, or I've gotten better about handling the mess. I don't live in Madison, but everytime I do I make sure I visit here.
