DONT EAT HERE!!!. Please save your time and money and don’t even try to eat here. By far the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. Everything is cooked hours ago and soggy. We ordered three different things and it’s literally the same exact thing but with different toppings. They put no effort into their food and if you do order here you’ll be genuinely let down. ( All of the food went right into the garbage.)

My absolute favorite Chinese food restaurant in Madison. I love that they have both traditional Chinese dishes and all-around crowd pleasers, such as beef and broccoli and all sorts of dumplings. A must for Chinese food lovers!

Worst (American-style) Chinese food I've ever had. Ordered the General Tso's Chicken combo (with fried rice and egg roll), fried dumplings and got some free crab rangoon. The Chicken was dry and had no sauce. The fried rice tasted burned. The eggroll was underfilled and under cooked, with an incredibly low-quality wrap. The "dumplings" were 6 inch long wads of ground pork loosely wrapped in soggy wrapping. I tried to pick one up and the enormous pork log fell out onto my lap. I didn't try the rangoons, but my friends that ate them were not impressed. The only palatable part of the meal was the fortune cookie, which tried to get to to go to an online sports betting parlor (lol). Really, really terrible. Took one bite of each dish, requested a refund and threw the rest away. Such a disappointment.

Horrible unprofessional service. Told me I had to ask for help picking up my order when they stood there just looking and I decided to reach for my order. Didn't realize I had to ask, thought it was the other way around since I'm the paying customer. Definitely not coming back. Over priced food that wasn't very tasty and orange chicken didnt really taste orange. Better to try the restaurant next door if you want better food and service for the same price.

Absolutely disgusting. The food has no flavor worse house special ho fun and beef roll I’ve had anywhere.

My spouse and I have now ordered takeout from Orient House a few times, via DoorDash. The food always arrives hot, or at least as hot as can be expected given the travel times. Orders are correct, portions are generous, sometimes very much so.So far, we have been most impressed with the various dumplings, dim sum and red bean offerings, and least impressed with what you might call the 'traditional Chinese takeout' food, like General Tso's or Orange Chicken (pictured here). The latter tend to taste well enough, but be fairly dry.Still, on the whole, better than average for takeout, and a very wide ranging menu means lots of opportunities to find new things we enjoy.

Do not order take out from this place. It seems they like to dump off all their old food That way. I have never received Food That has been this low quality Ever in my life!!! They canceled my order right after I received it too. This place seems to be running a successful food scam and i hope the City shuts them down

(I'd rate 3.5 if I could) First off, Orient House is one of the cheapest Chinese food options in its area wich earns it two stars alone. I love that they have plenty of meat free options/lots of tofu options. Their food isn't the best I've had but is still very tasty for what you pay. I've only ever ordered online for pickup and sometimes the service is lacking there with typically one person standing out front usually doing something on their cell phone. I've been left standing and waiting for 15ish minutes multiple times watching them do this without checking on orders you can see sitting in the back. It's about a 50/50 chance on waiting around like that or the food being ready when I get there. And while the flavor is always great there's never any knowing weather or not the food will be ungodly spicy or not. I love spicy food and have a high tolerance for it but I have often ended up with a dish that I need to drink water between every bite just to get down. All in all, they're not perfect by any means but they do well enough that I keep coming back. Worth a shot if you've never eaten there.

Ordered over the phone for pick up they told us 25 minuets when it took 40 minuets. I understand they're busy so I over looked this but then when we got home everything tasted like it had been sitting out for an hour. The meat was dry and tasted old and gross the only thing we could eat was the rice. $33 spent on not edible food

Not good at all. I ordered through door dash and delivery was fine and on time. The food was just bad. Sesame chicken looked grey, and had little to no sauce, some raw chicken laying in the sauce. Steamed dumplings were raw as well. The dough wouldn’t even hold shape. We ordered from them because they were a bit pricy, so I thought it would be high quality. Was easily the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Will not be getting food here again, gross.
