Originally gave 3 stars, was a mistake. This place is rated one of the 10 hidden gems in WISCONSIN. Terrific burger, they get their meat from the butcher across the street every morning (fresh).

Excellent place for a good meal and a beer. Bourbon and whiskey options could use a buff but there’s enough option to keep anyone happy. Tight seating in some spots but everyone is friendly and the place is full of energy. Highly recommend a visit on a fish fry night!
You know when you go somewhere that just feels good? This is that place. It feels like home, like a place for family and friends. The food is good, no frills, but delicious. It's unassuming in the best way.

Went there for the first time. Fish was great. Very light breading so you can taste the fish. Expect to wait at least 30 minutes. About 75 people there is that is very crouded. Standing room.
Super nice neighborhood tavern with great food and friendly service. We had some Cheeseburgers and a couple of beers. We will certainly be back.
I've lived in Madison/the Madison area for 33 years, and this was the first visit! The large cheeseburger and sweet potato fries were stupendous. All the employees I interacted with were awesome.
