Stopped in today for the first time with an old Army buddy. Love this place!! Love the old school feel from the moment you walk in. The ambiance is incredible. Met the owner. Seems like a stand up dude. Friendly feller who was nice to me, my friend, and his employees. Respect. Not to mention. The party melt was served with; fries (cooked beyond perfection - which I don't say lightly), sour chopped coleslaw (which was also pretty got dang amazing), and a fresh kosher dill spear. Not to mention they use pumpernickel bread and at least 2 pieces of cheese on the patty melt. A creative and well paired combo. It was my first, definitely not my last, and besides my favorite bar/tavern (The Plaza) might be my only... Exceptional job. The waitress was also A1. Professional and friendly. I will fa sho be back.

I had a great time there and all the people who work there were super nice so it was pretty good and also the food was the best food i have ever had in my entire life

We stopped in for the Friday night fish fry mainly due to proximity to the Overture Center. The pace was ridiculously fast. They clearly want to move people through. From walking through the door to done with dinner was about 25 minutes. This was strange but my real reason for the poor rating is the food quality. Nothing was good. Our fish was served room temperature. I suspect it is all cooked in advance to move things along. Our appetizer came after dinner and was quite greasy. If you want to spend $20 on a fish fry I'm sure you can do better than Nick's.

One of my favorites on state street if you're looking for a solid meal. Tends to be a bit quieter than many other establishments. It's easy to miss from the street

Frozen fried chicken for 20 bucks, i couldn't be more disappointed.

Prime rib dinner with hash browns was amazing! Great drinks as well. Highly recommend

Excellent service. Food is good but not great. Had Ruben sandwich. Corned beef was really tough, wound up cutting with a steak knife. But good taste and a satisfying meal.

Nice place to duck into after being on the fray of State Street. Food was great for the price. Service very good.

Nice spot for a meal. Close to everything downtown.
