Walked in and noticed a hiring sign.. this might be why we encountered poor service. Waited for about 10+min at the front to be seated. 3 workers looked at at us but no one acknowledged our presence. Eventually there were 2 other groups standing behind us also waiting to be seated or at least acknowledged. Finally we were seated. Once seated we were checked on a few times. I was not impressed by much of the Dim Sum. Most meat portions were more fat than meat. Some portions just tasted off. We shared about 7 plates. I only took home leftovers from 1 of the 7 dishes as the rest were not good. I'm not sure if I'd go back. The place was clean. The place is huge and I don't know how they can afford to cook so many different types of meals, pay staff a living wage and rent. Food presentation was resonable.

Very delicious pork ribs. Yummy sesame balls. Pork dumplings were just okay.

Was really excellent foods especially our garlic spicy chicken bone so yummy and eggplant pork, and friendly waitress.Always comeback that place.Recommend dining food place.

Amazing dim sum here in Madison. They have plenty of tasty vegetarian options! Bring lots of friends so you can try all of the dim sum dishes. The custard buns are by far my favorite dessert at Nani’s.

Our takeout was delicious! We had a huge order and everything was correct! Some of the best shumai and shrimp crepes we’ve ever had. Sticky rice lotus leaf wraps were also really good. Can’t wait to try more!

Fantastic food with fantastic service. We’re visiting from Louisiana, and I have to say that you guys have quite the hidden gem here. The restaurant has a nice and relaxing atmosphere. The walls were covered in beautiful local art for sale. And, most importantly, the service was great. Our server Savina (I hope that’s right) was really kind and helpful. She answered all our questions about the menu and helped us make some of our decisions. She also predicted what we might need and took care of things preemptively. For example, we had mentioned that we were going to split the dishes so she brought a separate bowl and spoon for us to split the soup without us having to ask (something that wouldn’t have occurred to me to ask). Little things like that go a long way.I don’t have pictures of everything we ordered, unfortunately. But for $60 (including tip) we got shrimp dumplings, seafood hot and sour soup, fried green chive cakes, baked BBQ pork buns, the spicy garlic pork entree, and deep-fried dough sticks for dessert. Oh, and a coke. It’s a bit of a splurge for the two us, but these were all dishes we had never had before and we took about 1/3 of the food back with us for leftovers. We’re staying at a hotel next door, and it’s going to take all of our willpower to not just have every meal here. If we do end up moving here, Nani will be at the top of our list of local favorites.

Not just DimSum, but their menu is really good. More authentic. Less Americanized, in my opinion. Fresh, good quality ingredients too.

It is a good place to try new things. Dim sum and other Chinese dishes. They have all sorts of entree type plates as well. Some of the prices are a little bit steep for me. But it has great quality food and great to try out. I hope to go back.

Nani's Dim Sum is the first great Dim Sum in town! Everything we ordered for delivery was delicious and will totally get again. They might not have the variety of a Chicago Chinatown place but enough for those cravings. When you try the fresh and soft sesame balls you'll know what I mean.

Excellent dim sum. Certainly the best in Madison, possibly the best in the states. I like dim sum. I try it wherever I can. A lot of folks say the best dim sum is in San Francisco. Been there, done that, it was great, Nani is better. Seriously. They're good. It's impressive. In terms of the dim sum menu, I'm particularly fond of the steamed bbq pork bun, the siu mai, the turnip cakes, and the pork belly with lotus root... But it's all really really good. They also have an entree menu which is excellent and varied, from more traditional Chinese food to American style Chinese food. They do it all well. I usually can't resist the dim sum but everything I've tried from the entree menu was fantastic as well.I guess I should say what dim sum is, in case you haven't had it before. It's kinda like American appetizers, in that the orders usually contain multiple pieces and are good to share, except that with dim sum you might just get nothing but dim sum for the whole meal. Not that you have to do it that way. You can do whatever you want. Anyway, in each item you'll get 3 buns, or 5 dumplings, or something like that. It varies depending on the item, but there's pictures, it's easy, and they'll explain it too. Just tell them it's your first time. Don't be afraid to get a few things and then order more. No need to stress about getting everything right on the first try. They'll leave you a menu so you can keep ordering. Try to order all at once if it's close to closing time though, of course. You'll want at least a couple dim sum items per person. It's fun. You'll like it. Go now.If you want a veggie, their greens are awesome. The pea shoots, and the Chinese broccoli are my favs. They have cocktails as well, which is fun. I love the Thai iced tea cocktail. Very tasty.I love the folks that run it too. Everyone there is always so nice. Great food, charming atmosphere, what's not to love?In conclusion, you should stop whatever you're doing, and go to Nani right now. You'll be glad you did.
