Food was okay but nothing exceptional - mostly stewed and pickled ingredients - no telling how fresh everything was. Nothing gourmet about it. The tacos were street-sized portions, maybe 2-3 bites per taco which is a lot given that it was roughly $4/taco. The whole experience felt like I was being nickel and dimed for upcharges that are typically free, like thimble-sized things of below-average salsa with a limit of 2 thimbles for 3 tacos, which didn’t cut it. The iced tea, which costs $3 was bland and no ice was available. For the money, there are many, many better places to get tacos, burritos or whatever.
I haven't been here in a long time. Stills good place for a quick bite if I am in the area. Tortilla was cold and didn't like the flavor/consistency of the chorizo meat. Babacoa meat was good. I loved the salsa bar with several options.
My wife and I worked with Chef Oscar to cater an engagement party we threw for our friends. From inquiry to delivery, payment, and eating, the entire experience was fantastic. Chef Oscar is helpful and has good avice about how much to order. He takes a lot of pride in his food, and it really shows. We have always enjoyed going in to the restaurant for food, but the catering experience was equally excellent! The price point was also incredibly reasonable. These folks are our go-to spot!

Migrants is a cut above the rest when it cones to fresh locally purchased ingredients! 10 unique and flavorful Salas to choose from. Homemade and from scratch tortillas. Tacos, Burrito bowls are delicious. Breakfast is phoemainal along with weekend brunch! Cookies, flan, cake. Horchata and flavored aguas along with other local beverages. Order for a family and all parties, reasonably priced. Migrants and Chef will also cater to all your food needs upon request. Come visit soon! Love this eatery! Easy access off if Todd Drive. Oh you can buy farm fresh eggs as well. You can purchase chips and Salsa, order ahead or call!
These are not the best tacos in Madison. I ordered the three taco dinner (steak) and it was terrible. The tortillas were not cooked, they were raw and soggy. The rice was dry and the beans tasted like soap. I was not able to eat my meal. 10/10 do not recommend! There are plenty of cheaper better options for tacos in Madison.
The food was delicious (this any stars at all), but the service was awful. Only one person working, and we were the only people in the place—and he was really rude.The person didn’t explain how to order (it’s not obvious unless you look at the menu and read it fully first). He snapped at us several times, didn’t greet us or the two groups that came in after us when we were finishing.And he went on to tell a curbside customer that they had arrived too early and had to wait until the minute the ordering system said it would be ready (4 minutes later).Truly terrible customer service. Hoping it was and off day but will give it one more chance to see if so. Turns out when I looked up the place more it was the owner!
Fresh flavorful food. Great corn tortillas. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options!! Owner/staff are very welcoming and laid back. Def will be back!
Not impressed. Was only person there took 5 minutes to ask what I wanted. Told them I wanted 3 taco dinner and an elote. the meats taste good but tortillas were super tiny and also street taco sized so small. Waited another 2 minutes for someone to come up and ask what veggies I wanted. Paid and verified it was 3 taco dinner and elote. Didn’t receive the dinner part only got 3 tacos so can’t say how rice and beans or chips and guacamole were. Service is slow. Staff ignores you and food is mediocre. I’ve had much better elote from food trucks in the area.
The food was pretty good but the service was terrible. The person who seemed to be the owner was very rude to us. When we had questions he actually snapped back at us. The wait was really long which would have been fine if we didn't have to be scared to order our food or ask questions.
