I go to at least one new coffee shop every week and I was excited to check this place out.Unfortunately I will NEVER pay $8.44 for a medium coffee again, so I will not be coming back. That’s insane and way overpriced.Not to mention half of my drink was hot water. I got two sugar free flavors and asked for half almond and half caramel but was charged full price for both. I hate going to Starbucks when there are plenty of local shops, but I at least know I won’t be paying almost $10!I will note there is plenty of space to sit inside, there isn’t music so it can be oddly quiet.**the owner reached out to me and apologized for the experience I had. At least the management cares about their customers and wants to make it right.
Absolute best place for coffee, pastires or a quick bite hands down!Their specialty drinks are so good, the mocha chiller was ideal on a hot day. Their peanubutter squares were flavorful, not overpowering and had a great texture and the raspberry pasty was creamy, light and a perfect accompaniment to my cappuccino. The service was so great, awesome employees
Very good raspberry cheesecake. Can bring in my medical companion dog ? & my ? in her carrier. Gives us a bowl of water & a pup cup with whip cream for my dog. They are very accommodating
Michelangelo's has an undeniably cozy atmosphere and charming aesthetic that makes you feel right at home while still feeling classy. The variety of coffee beverages and their clarity in ingredients is admirable- though many of the drinks are balanced on the sweeter side (of course, this can be to individual taste if you prefer that, and you could order drinks made how you like). The sandwiches are absolutely wonderful, and certainly make this somewhere you can go for more than just your morning coffee fix.

This is a great place for any kind of coffee / tea drink that you can imagine. The sandwiches and baked goods are amazing as well. Comparatively priced and comfortable atmosphere.
Beyond everything being delicious, the barista went above and beyond! My girlfriend and I wanted to split a drink but had to compromise on selection. When our order arrived we were delighted to find that the barista had split our drink into two cups- one with the drink I wanted to try and another with the drink she wanted to try. We loved our drinks and our friends loved their food and we will definitely be back :)
great staff, great food, great coffee, and the best service and atmosphere. There is a reason that Michelangelo’s was voted best college town coffeehouse in the US 2022 it was deserved. Come in and check it out for yourself, I highly recommend!
Michaelangelo’s is an absolute gem!! I live in the Green Bay Area so I’m not in Madison often, but a friend and I stumbled upon it a little over a year ago and fell in love. The atmosphere is very friendly and clean, and the staff there are AMAZING. Whenever I take a trip to Madison, it’s always my first stop. Both the food and drinks are incredible as well. I’m super picky with my coffee/espresso and they’ve never disappointed. Also, I highly recommend asking for pesto on your breakfast sandwiches- hands down one of the most underrated add-ons. Lastly, huge shout-out to Tim, one of the awesome baristas, he is an absolute delight!!! I’m looking forward to stopping there once again on my next trip down there in a couple weeks!
The coffee was just ok as well as the vegan pastry, nothing special or to write home about but the place had somewhat good vibes if you need a place to hang when it's cold outside or some studying.
