It's good food, but they don't have enough staff to pick up the phone and take orders, from the looks of it.
Great atmosphere, service, and food. First time here in many years and we will be back again soon. We met a large group of friends and although we didn’t have dinner reservations they handled our group wonderfully. Our server was friendly and did an excellent job, and everyone had a delicious meal.
After reading the reviews, I was expecting a great supper club experience. We were there on a Monday evening. Service was good, but the food was just okay. We'll give it another try next time passing through the area.
A great classic supper club, nothing too fancy but all around good. Old Fashioneds were tasty and strong how I like them. Every item of food was delicious, great curds and onion rings. Got a whole school of bluegill with one order a a walleye fillet that we think came from a 20lb lunker. Service got a lil slow towards then end of the night but our server was new and the place was behond packed so no biggie really.
They were out of the ribeye so I opted for the bone in tenderloin. It was good but not great. I really wanted the ribeye.
We love stopping in when we are in town. Love, love, love the fish fry, homemade soup and bread! Hoping to stop in some evening (had lunch this last time) and fingers crossed, Nick still works the bar!
Walking into this restaurant we were a little worried because the furnishings were old and warn. However, once dinner service started, it was all outstanding! The server was great, very attentive. The cheese spread, soups and salads with the homemade bread were equally delicious. The star was the prime rib, cooked to perfection. They also have a very impressive wine list.
This place is wonderful. The food was delicious, the old fashioneds were to die for and our server Michael was very attentive. Would highly recommend ?
I gave them a benefit of the doubt after my first experience at this supper club and it did maintain its reputation of being underwhelming. I hear a lot of apologies and “sorry” throughout the entire course. It was a Friday night and a first for my partner and i here and the waitress forgot to place the order for one of our main course. It took about another 10 minutes to get my meal after 20 minutes of waiting (not to mention setting expectations of a 20-30 minute wait which turned into almost 2 hrs which is a great problem for them. We expressed our disappointments and they insisted on giving them a second chance and offered a gift card for the whole meal (which was less than what we paid for). I usually do not get my hopes up to get surprised if it turns out the other way around, but unfortunately its the worst deja vu. At least the second time we got the main course at the same time before the appetizer (which the waiter claims the kitchen “forgot” the order) so we just cancelled it. We had to remind the waiter 3 times of our sodas yet he was at another table with a group of people so attentive to their needs and they came before us. don’t get me wrong, The food is great (some) however the service needs improvements especially for a “supper club”. If you are patient and understanding and enjoy long conversations at the bar then this place is for you.
Had a delious Valentine's Day dinner. Shrimp and Prime Rib were literally the best I have ever had. Wonderful, friendly service. Highly recommend!
