Jennifer and I loved our dinner of small plates and drinks at Graft. We didn't have reservations so sat at the bar where Megan and Antonio took care of us while listen to great vinyl records. Loved it, and can't wait to come back on our next trip to Madison.
Great drinks, awesome dishes, best staff. The menu doesn't look big, but there is plenty there to please a party of four plus. The cocktail menu was amazing. To top it all off, the staff was great - from the hostess to the bartender to the person that waited on us.
Excellent service (sat at the bar on a busy Saturday) and stunning menu offerings. If you find yourself in Madison, go to Graft!
Excellent wine list and by-the-glass; and their sharable small plates are tasty. I would highly recommend the beans, croquettes, chicken confit, monkey bread, and the only dish I would give a 3.5 to would be the scallops: they were a bit blonder than I prefer.
A hidden gem with great ambiance, amazing food and cocktails for any occasion. Come as you are and they will take care of the rest.
I was really looking forward to a good experience here - I took my girlfriend here to celebrate because I heard such great things. However, my experience was unfortunately disappointing…The service was great and I loved the ambiance of the place, but my main gripe is that the food was cold! I hardly ever complain, but our last two plates just felt off. I had to say something. Frankly it felt like they had the dishes sitting out waiting too long to serve it to us in increments. We had the croquettes and the fettuccine. I was told that the croquettes can’t get any warmer because they are essentially like cheese curds. I’m skeptical, as it was cold completely, but I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt. I have not had croquettes before. Yet, when they said they couldn’t warm it up any more, they took the food back and still charged me for it… if I knew that I would’ve still eaten that last cold croquette at least! The fettuccine was cold as well, and I am more confident that should not have been.So to reiterate, it was an unfortunate disappointment to spend that kind of money for an experience that seems to not match up with others’ experiences. I will likely give this place another chance in the future because of my high hopes.
Delicious. The chicken thigh and tuna were our favorite
Graft was absolutely amazing and definitely worth a try. I really enjoyed the new your strip with spinach and paneer it was very different but great.
Fantastic experience from start to finish. I was visiting Madison and a friend recommended Graft, and they were right. The atmosphere was cool, the staff were so nice and helpful, the cocktails were beautiful and the food was amazing! The egg and the chicken thigh were our favourites! Would highly recommend
This year we've had a lot of bad service, Because Covid, I suppose. This was a shining exception -- flawless, attentive service from start to finish. We had three small plates and one large, which seemed just right for two people. An unusual salad with some pickled vegetables was fresh and surprisingly good; the chicken confit wasn't anything unexpected, but was perfectly executed. The large plate, short ribs, was amazing: it's been a long time since we've eaten anything as good. Desserts were pedestrian in comparison, I'd advise you to fill up on the dinner instead.
