We had a great experience playing games and enjoying the drinks and jumbo pretzel. The bartender was helpful and friendly; the atmosphere was clean and relaxing.

Passing through the neighborhood. Monroe street changes so often. this was a nice find. crew know their beers. had just a few moments to enjoy a beer on errands. recommend Sahale ale Works and Garth’s Brew bar Picture of a picture Helles lager collaboration and it was on par with my request. A light menu of heavy snacks available. Crowlers of taps, and various cans available. PS Trivia on Tuesdays.
The tap selection here is top notch -- you will not find most of the beers featured here on tap anywhere else. It's really cool to see them collaborating with breweries as well to bring us beers that they've had a hand in making. Recently, they've started to mix in some more Kolsch's as well, which I love.
About time I posted about this incredible place. Best place to learn about beer and drink it! Too many breweries in Madison to choose? Garth’s pretty much has em all.

We were able to do a private tasting at Garth’s Brew Bar recently and absolutely loved it. Garth broke down and explained all aspects of brewing, tasting, and the business of beer as we worked our way through the selections he picked for us. All in all very enjoyable and will definitely be back.Outside of the tasting the space is great, convenient, and cozy - perfect for board games with friends or trying some great beer available from the cooler or the tap. Absolutely a must for people that enjoy beer on any level.
