Good place to stay in Madison if you want to be by campus and downtown, and if you are an UW alumni. Very reasonable rates, nice breakfast and the pub is nice.
Awesome breakfast. Middle of university. One suggestion would be for the reception team to greet the guests and look cheerful.
The Cinco de mayo buffet lunch was awesome. Enjoyed it very much.
Awesome place! Was there for corporate training for a week. Rooms were clean and the food was EXCELLENT!! Nice meeting rooms and the staff was very friendly. Let me add again the food was GREAT! No grits for breakfast though but wasn't honestly expecting any!?We had breakfast and lunch there. Also chilled at Smittys upstairs some and it's a cool little spot.
This place is an absolute gem. I've parked in the parking lot half a dozen times, but this time around we wound up hosting an event in some of the executive conference rooms. Turns out they have hotel rooms on the top floors, and we were able to take advantage of those as well for a group of over a dozen people. The food and the drinks and the hospitality were well put together. The building is walking distance from the hockey game we attended and the breakfast in the morning was beyond satisfactory. I haven't had that good of a hotel breakfast since the pandemic started and it was really nice to see how the hotel staff stepped up for a full continental spread.It's unclear to me if you can stay here if you're not also there on University business or renting the building. I will check because I would be interested in using this location more.
We had our company holiday party at the banquet center and the employees were extremely rude and very unprofessional. (However I will say the food was excellent.) I would not recommend the banquet center at all. One of our employee's wife over heard the banquet manager tell his employees numerous times how he "DID NOT LIKE OUR GROUP AT ALL" and we very polite and professional and treated everyone with nothing but with utmost respect and tipped the bartenders very generously!!!!! Super UNIMPRESSED!

This place is the ultimate best for food and I mean it!! The flavor and texture is amazing. There is no tipping. The wonderful food alone willake you come back, not to mention the friendly and attentive staff. Very clean and relaxing!
