If you have hours to sit and wait this is the place to go, had to get drinks up at the bar after not being seated, we had to order our appetizers at the bar as they never came around, and they never came around to get us new drinks or take our main course meal. For bringing my mother here for her birthday was the biggest disappointment and let down ever. I wouldn't recommend this place for anything! It's been over an hour and 15 minutes after we ordered our main course and it still hasn't came out!
First ever trip to the state and when I asked around for a good place to eat, this was the first one suggested. After coming here, we were able to see why. Nice lakeside bar and grill with a very tasty menu. Seating inside and out. Full service bar and separate walk up bar by the water. Has an attached dock to accommodate those wanting to stop by from the lake. When we travel back that way, we'll be sure to swing back by for a bluegill sandwich, cheese curds, and a beer.
Best lunch I have had there in a long time. Would give it 5 stars, but, there was a $1 discrepancy on my fish sandwich. If American cheese is on the sandwich I should be able to sub pepper Jack cheese without having to pay $1. According to the menu, it’s $1 to add cheese to any sandwich that doesn’t have it. I just asked to substitute it.
Terrible meal, asked for onion rings first. They can 30 seconds before our sandwichs. So sandwichs got cold and I did not even eat mine. Husband ordered waffle fries the came so over cooked he could not eat them. Waitress knew I was unhappy so she just stayed away. When I called her over she said Well what do you want me to do with it. Bad food, bad service and way over priced. Use to be one of my favorite places. NOT anymore
It seems in the last year the quality of food has gone down and the prices have gone up. I had a Beyond Waubesa burger the other day and all I got for $11 was a bun and a thin Beyond burger, plus three small sliced pickles. That’s it! No fries, no chips, just two pieces of bread and a thin piece of burger. I did order fries, which came 10 minutes after I got my burger, and they were essentially crispy cooked potatoes, with out much substance. The ice tea I ordered had a weird taste (the waitress also agreed) and I had to return it. I’ve heard from others that have dined there recently is that their breaded fish is basically a thick coating of cooked breaded mixture with little fish. My wife and I will no longer dine at Christy’s until they improve on the quality and quantity of food.
Best service on the lake.
There are not a lot of restaurants/bars on the Madison chain, but Christy's has a great lake view and outdoor area. Fun place to eat and drink while enjoying the lake life.
My favorite place to eat and drink that is accessible via boat. The dock space is plentiful, the outdoor seating copious, and the grill food is darn good!! It is truly a thoroughly enjoyable experience!
The waitress was friendly and checked in frequently. The food was tasty and the drinks were cheap. Great view, great place to visit when out on the boat.
Great place, a lot of fun, clean, friendly staff, great food. Got the nachos and cheese curds. And they couldn't have been better. I'll definitely be back this way again!
