Very, very happy to find this place--the dark chocolate-based ice cream was superb. We took our ice cream up to sit on the hill near the Observatory, and it made for a great evening with a lake view.
Babcock Dairy is considered the best ice cream in state of Wisconsin, the dairy state After visiting this location we have no argument with that statement. Loved our time spent here eating ice cream and watching the kids enjoy theirs. Local. Also UW favorite. Staff was particularly friendly, helpful and patient. Can't miss experience.

Stop by here for lunch while I was on a field trip. The food was delicious! I got a quesadilla it came with a pickle. So many different sandwiches you can choose from. They serve ice cream too. You won’t be disappointed!
