It was good. Our appetizers were really good (calamari and bacon wrapped chicken tenders) The salads and breadsticks were delicious! I had the chicken alfredo and it was fantastic (great price too!) The sauce was not overly creamy and it was the right amount. My husband had the burnt ends and he said there was too much barbecue sauce, would not recommend. My son had a steak that was too fatty. My daughter-in-law had the salmon and she said it was delicious! The staff was good too. Overall I would recommend Piggy's however I do not feel it is a must try restaurant.
Nice food menu with a variety of options: salmon, brisket, pulled pork, fried chicken, lovely main dish oriental salad, tasty soups and tasty dessert choices. There are a variety of craft brews and several red wines that I enjoyed. The fried chicken was tasty, super crispy and hot! The brisket burnt ends were actually 2 inch chunks in a very light BBQ sauce. The green beans served with both our entrees were crisp/tender and just slightly buttery, mmmm. Attentive knowledgeable service! Went early on a Friday evening and the house was filling up as we left! We go back when in town again!
Had the ribeye. No salt or pepper on it. Mushrooms were okay but they gave me a big chunk of stems that were all connected and I thought that was weird. Service was good as we had a large group. Would have expected a better steak for 30 dollars.
I would give it a 5 star but they took away the bearnais sauce and that was what made them unique to Downtown La Crosse:( also upstairs dining was a better suited environment for piggys dinner menu.
Owner Chris and his team delivered on a short turn around special request for a family-sized carryout order just before Christmas. They were eager to make sure that the food for our gathering was both possible and great. The food and service were wonderful and my 91 year old mother was thrilled to get her "Piggy's fix". Thank you to the staff who made the order work even though the restaurant was busy with Christmas parties and diners.
We got seated on time. The coconut shrimp was more like batter fried with a few shreds of coconut. Cheese curds were average and the pork pulled potato skins were fabulous. Some items that were forgot took to long to bring out. Green beans were to under cooked as well as the potatoes. Wasn't there night unfortunately.
Good food, but menu is fairly limited and we experienced slow service. Nice pulled pork, very generous servings and good sides and salads. Burnt ends were disappointing little cubes of beef. Menu combinations of entrees and sides are odd but there was no problem with substitutions. Overall, would return. The slow service may have been a fluke
We have eaten here many times in the past and loved it,, the food this past weekend was barely edible. We were also to the much nicer upstairs dining area was closed for good
It was very busy when we walked in. The first words from the hostess was did we have a reservation, which we didn't as we just got into town. They were able to seat us at the bar and we were able to order dinner. The bartender was very nice and let me try one of the wines before ordering it. The food was very good.
Had an excellent dinner here with my wife and my parents. Definitely a place I would go back to!
