Told 1 hour for Food took 1 1/2. Service was great. Food was not worth the wait!!!
Outdoor bar is amazing!!!! Great atmosphere
Enjoyed a night of drinks, food, and live music at Moxie's. The place was packed to the walls, but Sarah took really good care of our group. Highly recommend Moxie's for the live music and atmosphere, thanks!
Fun tiki bar on the banks of the Black River in La Crosse, tucked behind the AmericInn by Wyndham. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have the makings for a Mai Tai, being a tiki bar and all, but they had a decent variety of beers and hard seltzers that our little group enjoyed. You don't have to stay at the hotel to visit this relaxing little oasis. Great place to kick back in an Adirondack chair with a cold one and watch the sun set. They have live music quite often, too.
Decided to go try Moxies for dinner after being there for drinks the other day. It was super busy and we knew that. We were told it would be 45 minutes to an hour for food. It ended up being an hour and a half. Our appetizer of chips and cold jalapeño popper dip came out at the same time as one of our meals. Another meal came out another five minutes later cold and incorrect in multiple ways. They said the best they could do was $5 off or a $10 gift card. They also stated they would send the manager over to talk to us. She never came. In the time we had ordered and were waiting for our food multiple other tables sat, ordered, got there food, paid and left before we got even an appetizer. Seems like a cool place and they could’ve kept our business if they actually tried to fix how awful it all was. Really disappointed.
I was really disappointed with Moxies. We had a larger group there to celebrate the end of school and ended up having to be moved 3 different times because they do not allow moving tables or chairs to accommodate larger groups in the general population area. We were relocated to the ‘play area’ for children with less comfortable chairs and tables. Our service was also very lacking with having to wait 20-30 minutes for our drinks. The food however was great. I understand that at this point in time it’s hard to find people to work who don’t have great experience, but at a place that is suppose to thrive on customer service, moxies didn’t have it.
On 05/14/22, I dined at Moxie’s with a group of 7. After being told we could only order appetizers, we ordered our food at 6:45 and were told it would be a 45 minute or less wait. An hour and a half later at 8:15pm, after being neglected by our waiter and manager we were told that our food would be another 90 minutes. Groups that were sat after us were brought food and were also able to order off the main menu. Members of our group were late to work due to this and the service was inexcusable. After politely approaching the manager she was not willing to discount or comp our drinks and we paid for our drinks and left without any food. The manager was rude and honestly was the worst service I have ever experienced.
Drinks were fine. Wait over an hour for food only for half the preset to come out . Excuse that ticket was too big and food would be out shortly. 45 mins later we had enough and left. Great venue poor service.
I periodically stay at the Quality Inn across the street. I can run across the street, no driving - i have been driving for 10 hrs already! Tonight I had 3 street tacos, and it was very good. I don’t need fancy food, just a bit of wine and get to bed before more driving tomorrow. Very acceptable food, looks like a local place.
Went on a Friday night for fish. They only seat people in the bar area. Every table was reserved for comedy. They said we could sit at any table but needed to be gone by 6:00pm, IT WAS 5:50PM. They should have a sign out front restaurant is closed.
