Having had a pleasant exchage on my initial inquiry via phone, we found ourselves seated in a most relaxing, romantic , cozy setting. The food was top- notch. I had an amazing Caesar Salad to start, followed by the poached halibut in a buerre blanc sauce with mushrooms, peas and carrots and it was delicious both in its presentation and its depth of flavor. I will most definitely be dining here again.
Extremely busy for a Thursday night, waited 45 min for a table. Not too bad, we didn’t have a reservation. 3 in our party. Server was at our table right away with menus. Seemed wait staff was stretched because it took a while for her to return for our order. Food took fair amount of time to come but, probably was because of what we ordered. I believe everything is made to order. I had their ribeye and it was trimmed very lean, had no fat at all. It was cooked correctly but was on the dry side. Not the juicy steak I was expecting. The pasta dishes were fabulous as was our son’s lamb. Expect to spend a good amount here.
This was our first visit to La Crosse and booked Lovechild based on TripAdvisor reviews. It was an outstanding experience! The service was professional and joyful (Mackenzie did a great job), the space is super cool and the food was outstanding. Even the bread was excellent. We will be back next time we are in town.

Best Cesear salad I’ve ever had, amazing pasta with Gorgonzola cream sauce and delicious ribeye. Our server Keenan was wonderful too.
Held a business meeting here and had great service. Bar selection was good and they had 6 beers on tap! Menu had 4 courses but they are done with soup until the fall. Looks like a great place for date night too!
My first visit. Wow! The atmosphere is warm and cozy, the staff very welcoming and attentive. I have a dairy sensitivity so I was given the "Dairy Free" menu. Plenty to choose from, appetizers and entrees. The food came hot and it was amazing! My friends order Focaccia Bread as an appetizer and my server knowing I couldn't eat it brought their home made Dairy free Sourdough bread to me without hesitation. We will go back for sure. ⭐
Absolutely one of the most romantic restaurants I've been to. It's so worth waiting in line! Food was fantastic, and the service was extremely good as well
Outstanding service, wonderful ambiance, lots of yummy menu items. Food is executed with great sourcing and care for plating. Be prepared to take your time because quality shouldn't be rushed. Comfy space with good distance between tables which we appreciate.
We went for a celebration dinner for ourselves. We had been here a couple of other times. It was busy tonight, but they put us on on a waiting list and offered us a seat for appetizers and drinks while we waited. The wait was not long. Servers were beyond polite; they were warm, sincere, and explained the menu fully. Food was amazing from start to finish. My husband had lamb shank and risotto, and I had parpadelle. Both were delicious! Dessert was awesome as we expected. Even though it was after close, they didn't rush us at all. Staff is definitely ?. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Thank uou for a wonderful experience!
