I’ve never eaten in the restaurant, not sure they’re open for that right now anyway, but takeout or delivery is always great. the lo mein is far and away the best in the area!
Food was NOT good eggrolls was delicious though. The server didn't refill our water. The buffet food area servers didn't refill accordingly. Sorry NEVER I will NOT recommend this buffet to families and friends. No pictures because the food look like leftovers. ?
China Star has been my family's long-time favorite Chinese restaurant in La Crosse. Their food is consistently tasty and their staff is always happy and helpful. The only sad part is that they have had to shrink the sizes of their carryout portions likely due to the economy. Unfortunately for us we live in Onalaska and they don't deliver to our location so we have to drive quite a distance to do our carryout. It's definitely worth it for their awesome chicken and Broccoli, chicken Teriyaki, fried rice, etc.
Always good, always fresh. Definitely freshest when you pick it up yourself but not stale by any means when ordered for delivery. Huge portions and low prices. The only non buffet Chinese, I eat in town.
Portions are a lot smaller than they used to be and the price got higher foods not quite as good as it used to be also..Representatives not as pleasant as they were before seemed to always be in a hurry even if it's not applicable.
Is this the same restaurant it used to be back in 2003? Looks like it is. Amazing food! Always the best taste. Many years after haven’t tried nothing better despite I live on the boarder with China for over 30 years.Good luck and thanks for the answear in advance.

Used to like this place. Not anymore. Chow mein was a few shrimp and raw celery. No thanks. I'm done!
Not wasting my money anymore.They can never get my order right the prices change depending on who's working, staff taking orders at times is rude and doesn't listen
The food is very good, but hours have changed and not signed very clearly.We went two times in two weeks and had to drive away because they were closed.
