We stopped here to get a quick bite while passing thru town. I’ll be honest, it wasn’t our first choice, but ended up being SO DELICIOUS! One of those accidental finds, that ended up being REALLY good! We had the cheesy bread and taco pizza! Was super tasty and the staff was very friendly! Will be back in our next adventure passing thru!
Service was slow to get started, even though there were not many patrons. However, once we ordered, things were fine. Interesting decor which our grandkids loved. Pizza was awesome!
Horrible!! Waited for over 20 minutes with multiple servers walking by without acknowledging we were ever there. I get when your busy but there were 4 servers on the patio. Then another couple was seated after us, and got drinks right away. One server walked by and even looked at us and just kept walking. It wasn’t until we were leaving they offered us drinks!
I was in charge of finding a place to do a High School team dinner. We were able to work out a reservation for the group of about 30 people. They gave us a separate room for the group which had enough space for almost double the amount. They gave us a dedicated staff member at the bar to help us with anything who was awesome. Their pricing was very reasonable especially for a large group. I actually estimated it higher then what it turned out to be which is great on a high school team budget. The pizza was delicious and very filling and we had plenty of leftovers. Something I found very impressive is that they gave us until the day before to submit our order (since it was a large group). I found that very generous as my experience with ordering for large groups is a week or more for ordering. I will 100% come back here whether its just me or a large. Thank you Big Al's for that great experience
My very favorite place to eat in downtown La Crosse. The pizza is very delicious as well as the cheesy bread appetizer. The atmosphere here is great as well, especially in the warmer weather when there is live music outside.
Used to have great pizza. Came recently and it was horrible. Pizza was over cooked, didn’t taste good. I stood at the counter for 5-10 min waiting to pay for my food, the man was too busy exchanging his tip money. I would not recommend going here. If you want excellent pizza go to Corkys in lacrescent just over the bridge, best pizza around!
Loved the pizza here, it's excellent if you like options to have a thinner crust and they have plenty of toppings to choose from. Smaller but good beer and spirits selection, but here it's evident it's all about the pizza.
They were super busy when we came. The staff was beyond amazing! Very friendly, our drinks never went empty. Even with being busy we still received our food very fast. Food was great too!
Pizzas were all very good. They did a great job seating our group of 11 on a Saturday night with minimal waiting.
If I could give Big Al's 100 Stars I would, I have only been here twice and both times we had something different, I had one of there hot subs and omg, the best sub I have ever had, it was so good that we went again a week later, had the taco pizza and it was by far the best taco pizza I have ever had, it actually has flavor, it was the best, ever!!!! Staff is super nice also, wish we had a big Al's in Winona?
