Rooftop is a great, but has a limited food menu. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Avoid the ceviche. It is a fruit salad with unidentifiable amounts of shrimp for $20. Everything else we had was great!
Jackson was so friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Jackson turned us onto the cilantro sweet chili sauce and it is hand down one of the best sauces EVER! You can put it on anything. Don’t miss out and definitely ask for Jackson
Definitely would not go back for the food, trendy atmosphere nor with a date. Over priced for what you get on a very limited menu not to mention nothing outside the small flat bread was particularly tasty. Our server was nice, but new nothing about the dishes or the unusual vegetable that came with my ribeye which end up being a variety of squash I've never seen. Drinks were some of the worst I've had and my ribeye wasn't even average considering it was about twice as expensive as a chain restaurant.
Greeted upon entry, quick seating for Sunday Brunch. Food was excellent. Had to ask for a spoon for coffee and jelly for the toast. Removing used dishes was slow for this type of Restaurant. Except view from the Rooftop Bar.
Met friends for beverages and to check out the place for an event. Great service from the hostess greeting us at the door to a great conversation with the General Manager about the history of the place. Great view of Lake Michigan and downtown from the rooftop.
Have had great dining experiences here ever since I moved to Kenosha in early 2021. It been almost a weekly staple for me and my girlfriend and it's never disappointed us. Our regular server Allison and the new chef Alex are very polite and friendly making us feel welcomed and valued as a customer. I'm excited what new menu items will be introduced in the future!
We had a terrible dining experience at Apis. We went there to celebrate a special occasion on Saturday, May 21 with a group of eight. We had made a reservation long in advance. Food was pretty good but portions small, even when ordering the Large plate items. Service was terrible. For starters the server only brought 3 menus for the eight of us to share. We asked for more but never got them. Once we ordered it took over 45 minutes to get the first plate of food. Then about every 10-15 minutes another plate would come out. It took more than 2 hours to get all of our food, so each family member ate separately. Our server kept coming to our table to ask us how everything was even when we hadn’t received any food, which really puzzled us, and each time we asked about the status of our food and each time we were told the kitchen was really backed up. The kitchen was clearly out of sync and in chaos. After all the time at this restaurant we went to another restaurant for appetizers afterwards . We definitely won’t be returning to Apis again.
It bums me out to write this, but we did not have a good experience this morning. I understand the world is understaffed, but it wasn’t as busy as restaurants typically are on holidays. We had a 10:30am reservation, ended up starting to eat at 12pm. When we first ordered, things seemed okay, but 20min after ordering, the waitress informed me my meal wasn’t available & provided me a menu again and apologized. She didn’t come back till about 10-15min later to retake my order. When we got our food, it was bland, undercooked & my moms toast burnt- we couldn’t finish eating. I tried to eat as much as I could, but now I actually feel sick, cause my eggs weren’t fully cooked??♀️ But I was starving after two mimosas. The staff could tell it wasn’t great as they comped us a bit on our bill, but I was pretty disappointed as I wanted to take my mom somewhere nice. I’ve had drinks here before & ran into similar issues with increased time waiting for service & expensive drinks. I feel the price should match the food, atmosphere & quality of service, which unfortunately wasn’t there. We still provided a decent tip as it wasn’t totally our waitresses fault, but sadly, we won’t be back?
The food and cocktails were some of the best in Kenosha!!Unfortunately the negative aspect of the review is the result of the service, specifically the waiting time. The server was very nice and helpful but it took forever for all of our food and drinks to get to us.The entire dinning experience took over two and a half hours. It was borderline unbearable.
This is one of our date-night stops! The cocktails are my absolute favorite. The Copra Cabana-you have to try it! The menu is fun and changes from time to time, so I always get to try something new! Service is friendly, and honestly just fun to talk to!
