Always good food wait staff and bartenders always pleasant and the tea menu always has you covered for what ever flavor you’re feeling.
5+3?Wow, and I mean wow. Talk about a blast from the past? It put me in the mood for the long gone Tic Toc club, Foxylady, Mr T's, Holidays, all places in Kenosha that the young folks don't remember. Or the Tropical in Racine or Brothers in Racine or ReRuns in Racine or Mr Kool in Racine! Although, Ron's is definitely better food wise. Working security at most of these places, gave me a lot of scars and quite a bit of trauma, lol! Also, plenty of stuff that I definitely won't ever talk about! But, Ashley over at Ron's is quite the bartender. So, if you want to see class in a place that customers sometimes lack, go see Ashley! It's a Blast!!! Oh, and by the way, I don't know how they keep the bathrooms so spotless with all the drinking going on lol, but that's a testament to the dedication of those employees working there. Clean bathrooms equal clean kitchens! Besides the food, ambiance is a really big deal. Hole in the wall? Divey? Love it! Some of the other reviews were ridiculous, I don't believe in bashing for petty stuff. "Ron's" It's a destination ????
Went on Saturday afternoon, 5/14, around 5:45. Hostess said a 20 minute wait, took our phone number. Went over to the bar to get a drink for the wait. Hostess comes over and extremely rudely tells we can’t stay inside, we have to wait outside. We thought she said we could grab a drink while we waited to take outside. OK, miscommunication, our communication was calm, and respectful. Too bad we weren’t treated in the same manner.After 20 minutes went back inside to check on our table. Hostess again extremely rudely tells us she took us off of the wait list. Said she thought we left when we went outside to wait per her instructions.Our friend told her she was treating customers like a jerk. Her response was to wave bye bye 12 inches from his face while saying bye bye.This was our first time at this restaurant. I am sharing this experience so that no one else is treated as we were. Don’t wasted your time or money at this place. They don’t deserve the patronage.Tom Stevensas we were.
Been to Ron’s many times before and always had good food but service has been slipping. Tonight was the worst ever. Waited for forty minutes for two burgers. Finally complained and they said the cooks dropped the ticket. Waitress should have noticed the others getting their food before us. First time we actually left without eating. Hope things change because it wasn’t even packed in the restaurant. Bad experience. Very disappointed with a place with a long history in this town.
The burger tasted great! Variety of alcoholic drinks for dine in! Worth a try to dine but let me warn you and this is for 4 star, expect 1-2 hours wait. My party of 6 waited 2 hours. :( Hopefully they would expand. They are so busy!
Maybe we went at a wrong time. Place was packed. Woman at bar said sit anywhere. The server must have been overwhelmed. Passed our booth multiple times without giving us a glance. And the table was sticky.
I've been past Ron's hundreds of times and saw the sign "Have you had your 5x5 Today" Well I finally stopped in last night. It was pretty crowded for a Thursday night but we found a seat at the bar right away. You can tell the bartenders got along with each other and worked in synergy, which made us feel comfortable and welcomed. They got us drinks right away and we ordered the 1/2 lb 5x5 burger. We got our food in a timely manner especially as crowded as it was.Let me tell you, I thought to myself, how good can a burger be. Well it was excellent, big juicy, beefy flavor flame grilled to order.I haven't had a great pub burger like that in years. It's only been 12hrs and I'm craving one writing this review. I will definitely be back again and again, soon!P.S. because my name is Ron I will have to see if they have shirts for sale?
They have yummy long island ice teas many different ones to choose from and they are BIG so no more than 1 or 2 are needed.. the seats at the bar are very comfortable and they have tall backed booths so they feel private and quaint. The food is yummy and not too costly.
