Friendly and helpful staff. The sushi rice was delicious. The house salad was very fresh. You have the option of dining inside or out. Overall it was a friendly, very pleasant meal on date night.
Ono has some of the best sushi in town, the inside is super classy, the outdoor seating is also very nice on a warm evening. The price is awesome for what you get. Stop in and give it a try or call in your order for pickup.
Delicious quick sushi spot along the downtown strip! Not a lot of extravagant options for sushi but I got a salmon crunch roll with eel sauce and it was yummy! The egg rolls are crunchy with a great sauce. Only comes with two, though, so prepare for that lolThe staff was very attentive and did a great job with clearing our table & water refills. We sat down quickly & left within 30 mins. It was a great spot!
Food is good, portions as one would expect. Not gracious, though, business-wise. If a couple spends $90 for dinner, and orders a little piece of mochi cream afterward, rather than charge them 2 bucks say "this one's on the house, we hope you enjoyed your meal."
It was good sushi and the wait staff was awesome but it was over priced for what it was. The martini though? yummmm! I'll take another oh and the bao was pretty tasty as well. Overall pretty good just disappointed in the cost to food ratio.
Just when u thought Soon's has cornered the market in Kenosha for sushi....ONO! Theres a new sheriff in town! My 1st time trying this place out with takeout...I only have Soons to compare it to, so thats what I'll do. 1st up Bulgogi bun: beef didnt LOOK like much:. No sear, no sizzle. Just dull brown chunks sitting in a raw-looking dough. But 1 bite later... such sweet flavorful meat being hugged by a light airy cottonball patty of bread. It felt indescent to eat this in public. I had to close my eyes before opening my mouth for the next bite. 2 of these were more than enuf! Ion even think Soons offers this...Next seaweed salad:. I've definitly had this at Soons. Portion size is smaller here. Perhaps due to the half a cucumber they sliced up under the seaweed. Soons dont use cucumber?! Going in... this is a much sweeter version...and it's good. I. Could Not. Stop. Eating. It. I had to pull myself away to try the main dish (definity finished it tho) The California Roll. (ALWAYS start with the basics when trying a new place)Again, portion size is smaller than Soons. Taste is extremely similar also. But Soons wins cuz theirs is made fresh to order. The rice is still warm when ordering from Soons. This was cold and uninviting. As if they were made for the peasant California Roll eaters earier that day. Also, foiled wrapped ginger...not classy (and smaller portion than Soons gives)Also, once i break the chopsticks, hard to tell which end is which (just sayin..made sushi life a bit harder)Overall, lots of good, very little bad. Will come again.
The food was ok. The sushi did not have much flavor. I went with 2 of my friends and we ate, paid and we were talking, one of the employees came to our table and said “not to rush you but we have other reservations waiting “. It was 7:30 at night and no one was waiting to be seated. We thought that was rude and will not return. Honada is much better and cheaper.
I was referred to this place from a friend. I love sushi, so naturally I had to go and check it out. We walked in and the atmosphere felt warm with a elegance. We didn’t make reservations (next time will do that) but were offered the bar. We sat at the bar and the bar to greeted us graciously. Took our order and let me tell you the gyoza was amazing little appetizer ( you get a lot for the price). Now for the sushi! I ordered the philly roll, spider roll and spicy tuna crunch roll (I was hungry and ambitious). Each roll had plenty of meat in it and were packed to perfection.I use sodium free soy sauce to cut back on my sodium intake but didn’t change the texture or taste of the roll. For dessert I ordered the matcha cheesecake with goji berries on it. The only then I can say is extremely devilish. The matcha was placed evenly throughout the cheesecake. Overall we had a very pleasant experience will go back to try the poke bowls. -The Penny Traveler
Vegetarian/vegan options, good food, friendly staff and atmosphere great for date nights /friends /family. Support your local businesses especially if there amazing like Ono
Nice atmosphere and decent food. When the place first opened the sushi cuts and quality was phenomenal - it seems quality has decreased somewhat over the last couple visits. Waitstaff is attentive as long as you can get your waiter - don’t expect others to assist when eye contact is made.
