So I always get the garbage plate but this time I got a veggie and cheese omelet with American fries!! It was delicious!! I don't usually eat American fries but thought I would try them. They were the best I ever had! And a wonderful bloody Mary to go with it!! NEVER a disappointment when eating here!!
Firstly, I think I must have driven by this little nugget a million times over the years, lol! We decided to search it out and give it a shot. We were not disappointed. The full size garbage plate with sausage, almost filled me up! Five eggs, a heap of potatoes, cheese, meat, onions, peppers, the kitchen sink! Delicious toast, coffee is flavorful and hot not to mention strong. My wife's veggie omelette was just beautiful to look at and tasted even better so she says lol. Absolutely nothing fancy, but, well worth the visit! And, considering the amount of food we had, the prices were better than almost any of the other restaurants we've eaten breakfast at! And, lastly but not leastly, the staff was wonderful! They put up with me running around taking pictures, lol, and, they showed genuine concern for my wife who had a terrible migraine when we walked in. That was above and beyond, really really nice compassionate and empathetic folks.
My first trip to Frank’s Diner was on a bicycle ride from the northwest side of Chicago to Frank’s in Kenosha. Needless to say I was hungry when we arrived and Franks did not disappoint. Everything is good from the staff to the abundant food and the place as a whole; it’s an enjoyable experience. Do try the Garbage Plate for breakfast!
This place never fails to impress. Brunch staple of WI/IL. Been coming here for years! Staff is friendly and fast. If you're in the area stop by this historic joint and get yourself a garbage plate with the homemade toast. You'll thank yourself when you're done!! Remember come early or else you'll find yourself in line!
Haven't eaten here in years. Was super busy at 11:00 am, had to sit at the counter which was a bit uncomfortable. Took most of the food home to eat. The homemade bread was very delicious as was the cheese omelette with spam. The garbage plate was good, but seem to like my Hashbrowns separate.
Diner was a full house today(Presidents Day), had to wait about 20min, that 20min was well worth the wait. You will not be disappointed!
Some of the nicest breakfast food I've ever had the garbage omelet is absolutely amazing beautiful flavor and great servers that can make a whole room light up. The food is fantastic and the homey train car feeling it really feels like a time capsule and you walk in and you just feel at peace recommend every time.
Been wanting to go since we seen the Diners,Drive-ins and Dives.Had the special (garbage lid) and it was pretty good. I liked the no-nonsense diner vibe!! Very small place and your probably going to have to wait ( and by that I mean you give your phone # and go wait in your car or outside. I definitely will go back, the cooks were amazing the system they had ( the cook has a helper who sets up the ingredients) and the non-stop cooking!!! Was a thing to see. This is not your fancy latte stuffed French toast kinda place. It’s a relic of what diners used to be (I mean that in a nostalgic good way). See you again Frank’s, and I gotta make sure I don’t eat dinner the night before, the garbage lid (and I only had a 1/2 one) portion was very generous!!!
First time visiting. Very busy, really happy to see a family business doing so well. Food was great. Tequila shots were offered to the guests. Really neat place. If in town, check it out
Fun place to get together with friends! Celebrated a retirement this past weekend! Such nice staff and customers.
