The steak here is excellent, easily the best in town and the fish fry here is also quite terrific. The staff are always attentive without being obtrusive. Unlike some pricier restaurants in the area, the food here is actually worth the money.
We needed a good place for lunch in Janesville and found it. Food was great, generous portions and reasonable prices. My husband had the hamburger and said it tasted like “someone actually made the burger, not just fried up something frozen.” I had the grilled burrito - excellent. Came with a “sweet corn cake” and I didn’t know what to expect. It was a delicious corn fritter, a great accompaniment to the burrito. We shared the onion straws. They would have gone well with a cold beer, but we were driving. If we go back to Janesville, we will certainly return.
Anytime I come to Janesville I make sure and get a meal here. It doesn't matter what you order everything is delicious and you can tell its not made in mass quantities. No two orders are the same but equally delicious No Doubt. Very friendly and attentive staff, I highly recommend this restaurant. The only downfall is they don't have a ton of space so seating is limited.
Caribbean chicken was good. Not dry, flavor of jerk chicken was slightly there, not overpowered. Bloody Mary was average. I'm sure it wasn't a mix. The horseradish was on the bottom. No celery salt, no Worcestershire or very little. Two olives nothing else. I would give it another try.
Fantastic. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but cozy and a little classy inside. Delicious drink specials and the shrimp appetizer is heaven. (And dessert!)Update: Morning brunch service is Not impressive. One plate wasn't good at all, and we were Not checked on once until we were done and even then had to wait for our check and Then she asked without even asking about the untouched plate!! Mind you they were not busy. The rib tips aren't impressive either.
The cod was delicious. Very nice servers. Super good food and great menu.
We couldn't believe it our fish was cooked!!! Piping hot!! Coleslaw was actually edible and not bland and old tasting didnt leave it for clean up we ate it! And our service couldn't have been better!! Only draw back they get really busy we went early problem-solved. We definitely will go back.
We have just moved to Janesville and had a gift card to the Milwaukee Grill. Since the reviews and word is that it is the BEST in town. I sure hope not. It was crowded so we finally got a seat in a booth by the bar. Service was really slow, and even worse, the beer was warm. I ordered the Prime Rib which was the special of the day. I should have sent it back...I couldn't cut the meat with my knife or my husbands. Totally inedible. So disappointed! Will not be going back, ever.
Frequent customer of this establishment. Food is always great, servers are friendly and the drinks are great. Personally, I recommend the meatloaf with pub ale gravy and garlic mashed potatoes. For brunch, the spinach and tomato omelette is awesome. Good margaritas from the bar!
