The several times I have eaten here have been some of the best in the northern Illinois / Wisconsin area. The cocktails are interesting, but familiar and not intimidating. The food is executed well and is always adapting to what is fresh and seasonal.Must try. Do peep, don’t sleep on Lark.

Super cute building and friendly servers, but the meals were tiny and expensive (and unfortunately not that great.)We ordered crab cakes (a special that I was told could be a large plate), and risotto. The crab cakes were good but there wasn’t nearly enough food to be a full entree (I was starving when we left), and the risotto was NOT risotto (it was soup with over-cooked rice floating in it, it was extremely salty, and the chicken tasted spongy.)The cocktails were delicious, but we left hungry.

This place was awesome a good place to Showing off to a Date or friends night I came here and had the 3 Course meal Where it provides appetizer dinner and dessertI also had a drink that was specially made from the ber Because I was craving something sweet but with a good punch and the Waitress was very nice and professional the food was really good I was not much of a sweet person but it was really good and it closes at 11pm that was awesome but it was 100 for two but Worth it

This is the only restaurant in Janesville worth going to. Was that too harsh? Janesville’s lack of restaurant culture aside, Lark is a pure delight that never disappoints. Lark would be a gem in any city that hosts her. The menu is small, perfectly edited, and includes a monthly prix fixe option. You will find something you want whether you fancy red meat or something vegetarian, a comfort meal or something light. Many of the ingredients are locally sourced, and some of the wine and spirits are too. The decor is understated and sexy, owners and staff are always warm, and unpretentious. There are only about a dozen tables, so make a reservation on weekends.

Service was excellent, food was good, just overpriced and servings small. 4 of us celebrating a birthday left broke and hungry. $175.00 later, we left and went to the Drafthouse and ate again. Not my kind of place.

This is our favorite spot to go on dates. Atmosphere is awesome and the food is truly an experience. Cocktails are awesome too.

What a lovely surprise. So quaint. Cozy booth by the window. Really friendly staff. Great specials. I mean kimchi in Mac n cheese. That right there is genius. Great overall experience and I hope to visit again.

A gem of a restaurant in the heart of Janesville – perfect for a quiet, romantic dinner with my husband. Wait staff was on top of their game! Well-groomed, well-mannered, prompt service. Low lit ambience and décor were pleasing and elegant (we admired the bird cage light fixtures to match the theme). Appetizers, entrée, and cocktails exceeded our expectations. We ordered the popular “hot chicken” entrée which was exquisite with flavor and would definitely order again. Full and elegant bar too with seasonal cocktails. If you’re looking for a high-end restaurant outside of Madison, perch yourself here and stay for a while.

It's a restaurant, so "Food-5" is the essential score and shows incredible promise. The owner does need to fix the details. The make-up air unit (?) poured cold air on us all evening to the dismay of a few of my guests. The staff could use some more training, especially as to the menu items and serving wine. These are fixable and this restaurant is poised to flourish. The menu was very limited, but creative and still workable for those with limited tastes.

There are no words. The food is out of this world and truly unique. You really need to go!
