We used to frequent this location several times a month. Stopped going because the service and overall feel of the place has gone downhill significantly. Thought we would give it another try today with our group of 6. There was only mabe 10 to 12 tables full in the whole place. Went in, we were never greated, sent kids to wash their hands, still never greated. I go wash my hands, come back to my wife, still nothing. A group of 5 comes in right behind us and was told 5 min wait, then seated pretty much immediately. Group of 2 comes in gets seated immediately. Tell my family let's go if this place is almost vacant and we can't get a seat we're not staying. Call from the car to speak with the manager, woman that answered asks why we're calling, I say something to the effect of I want to know why a family of 6 can't be seated in a almost empty restaurant on a Sunday at 1pm. Manager Josh gets on the phone and says it's because they split up which servers get what groups. We owned a restaurant, I know how it works. He asks us to come back to be seated, I say no I'm sorry we'll take our money someplace else. Very sad to see a location that used to be packed more often than not sink to this level.
Extremely busy. Arrived about 5:15 pm. Had a 15 minute wait to be seated. Service was quick, reasonable wait time for food to arrive. Meal was very good. Waitress was very good and pleasant. Janesville, WI location.
The wait staff was good, and the manager tried his best...offered to get me another dinner, but after two attempts to cook my steak (still bloody rare - asked for med.), I'd lost my appetite. Used to really like Applebee's, but the food just isn't up to par anymore...dull and lacking. Sorry folks, will not be coming back to any Applebee's.
It was okay, don’t know if it’s just me, but seems like the bourbon steak was small, price has definitely gone up, spent $90 for my wife, my daughter and myself. Service was good, went about 2:00 in the afternoon, not to busy.
Went in to get food a little less than an hour before they closed tonight (Friday). Service was the best I’ve ever gotten there, our waitress was very friendly and checked on us a lot. Forgot her name but she had dark brown hair with a black headband. I don’t write reviews often but I just wanted to point out how great this girl is at her job.
I went to this Applebee's in Janesville WiA couple days ago and the staff was horrible.Waited a long time for our server and she was super rude the whole time. Rolled her eyes at us and gave an attitude. My boyfriend didnt like the food he received and we let her know and was rude that he didnt like it. Just horrible place to go to. Rude staff and not professional at all. Pretty sure her name was Amber...
Best part was the friendly lady that greeted us. Food was over cooked and nasty, glasses and silverware were dirty, the waiter was not very bright and kept playing with his hair, it was disgusting. Also took almost an hour to get our food. Horrible experience, very upsetting. $50 wasted on something I wouldn't even feed my dog!
Came in at 2:30pm on Sunday. We were sat quickly at a table near the bar and just as quickly forgotten. Many servers stood around talking at the end of the bar POS terminal, 5 at one point, and no one ever came to our table. My partner went to ask a server if anyone was available for us and was told that we were in the "bartender's section" and that he was "super busy" right now. After about 5 more minutes we got up and left when no one ever came to serve us. I can always understand when it is busy, but to not even get a greeting, followed by no help from the server who was not busy, even if it was just to help out the "super busy" bartender, we went and spent our $100 next door at Famous Dave's.
This restaurant has giving us trouble in the past, but this visit was better. The service was good, the food was good aside from the cheetos cheese curds they were not good at all. But the rest was good and we were glad to have a better experience.
We ordered the 2 for $20 for take out for supper. We got the mozzarella sticks and didn't get any marinara or any sauce. My steak was chared on the outside and rare on the inside. I ordered medium. My wife ordered the 3 cheese penne with children. The sauce was partially solid. That was with in 10 minutes of pick up. On the plus side the order was ready 5 minutes earlier than they said it would be.
