We stopped in for lunch but ended up getting the eggs Benedict which was really good. Bloody Mary was just ok we thought. Server was very nice and we liked the overall ambiance of the place.
Amanda was delightful and the fish fry was excellent ? we loved the service we received from Derek and would highly recommend this as a destination for anyone visiting Hudson. P.S. Skip the cheesecake...
My husband and I went here on a date night and it was amazing! I loved that they were not crowded and the atmosphere was very chill and laid back. Their chips and queso were delicious and I had the 517 Burger and fries (delicious!) and the sauce that came with it was perfect! Service was great as well! We will be going back!
I cant give the place one star because the location is nice and the interior is modern and new and the service was normal. That said the food is one star hands down. I ordered the chicken "confit" and I cant see how the confit part could be true by any stretch. You would expect a piece of chicken that was literally cooked in fat to have some semblance of tenderness or AT LEAST not be dry, however neither were true. The chicken was the driest I have ever eaten and I am not exaggerating. To me, this could have only been for one of two reasons. The first is that the chicken was cooked prior and reheated (disgraceful for charging $28), the second is that it was left in the oven for way too long (this doesnt make sense either because its labelled as "confit" which means cooked in fat). I suspect the former. Nonetheless, even if hypothetically the chicken was acceptable, nothing else about the dish was. The sides were boring and low effort (and improperly prepared one could argue). To charge $28 dollars for a dish I would expect a combination of high quality ingredients, exceptional and I mean exceptional preparation (this dish costs $5-$10 in raw ingredients), and last but easily most importantly is the chefs creativity. This dish was as follows chicken, and vegetables. Nothing more nothing less. 0 creativity. As a side note I tasted others dishes and although they were prepared in an acceptable way, they were all very boring and comically overpriced, just like the chicken. To me, this restaurant feels like a profit machine. Minimum effort and costs to make money and nothing else. I cant see it lasting long with the variety of good quality cooking in downtown Hudson. My mind can be changed if I see improvements in any of what I just discussed. Until then I would not recommend anyone support this business model. Good food comes first.EDIT - This is a review for the correct restaurant. They have removed this item from the menu. I went there awhile ago when they had this particular item.
Food was good. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is the wait staff talked bad about every other restaurant in town that I suggested getting she get to know.
All I can say, is that I'm very disappointed. Came here with a friend from out of town. Service was really not great, could get better from local bar. Food was ok. My friends steak filet was all fat. She returned. I'm embarrassed. Great atmosphere however.
We try this trendy restaurant we went there it was so loud and rude service we just decided to leave. Someone suggested this restaurant the best choice ever!!! Our server was Andy she was the best ever she was so friendly and bubbly the food was so good and manager walk around asking if we were enjoying our meal. I will come back again next time I visit.Thank you for making our dining experience wonderful
Wow! Great food, atmosphere and service—another bonus is the fact that this spot takes reservations! We had a great first time experience and will definitely return! Thank you 517
Food was excellent! Service was also excellent! Will be going back!
Amazing experience, atmosphere, drinks, hospitality, food-brunch was amazing. A+ all over. Very impressed with it all, the history and talk of certain history with the building each employee tells such a good story and was just very happy. Did brunch but will be back for apps soon!
