This is mostly a bar with some tables for dining. We brought our teenage boys for lunch as we read great reviews on the food. I'm glad our boys were older or we would have left. I was thinking bar & grill, like Applebee's. It's definitely more bar. The food was really great, though! I had walleye, my husband had Cod. One of our boys had a huge burger, and the other went light with a grilled cheese. We all shared bites because everything tasted so great! Our server was extremely friendly and provided excellent service. We would definitely go back again. Not what I would consider family friendly, only because I wouldn't bring younger kids in. The patrons at the bar were a bit loud and quite foul. The great food and service made up for it, to us.
Excellent & friendly service, delicious food (we had fish - loved the option of the “Captain’s plate” with 3 choices of fish!) and reasonably priced. We will definitely visit again when in the area. Very “hometown” feeling.

Friendly fast service. Tried the fish reuben (never heard of before), pleasantly surprised! From the UP, so was tickled to see the KBC on tap!
This place came highly recommended by friends and it did not disappoint. Small but quaint bar. They pour fantastic drinks. I had the haddock and he had the bluegill. Would recommend to friends and family. Go early no lines. Will be back
I have gone here for 22-24 years, always had the best burgers, fish fries, and great French fries. service always WAS top notch. Not anymore, Past 3 times, Fish is smaller and greasy, Fries are smaller and hard, Service staff and bar tenders are snippy, AND prices have gone up. Unfortunately they don’t care cause it’s packed with regulars who hang on to old habits. So,so sad to see this spot go down the tubes
Our first time having dinner at the River Street Pier. We arrived at 5:10 pm on a Friday night. We truly expected to wait a bit for a table but, the atmosphere and clientele were great!! Got seated in about 30 minutes. Fish fry was absolutely delicious. Generous portions, cooked perfectly. Would highly recommend. Don't get crabby because of the wait....it's well worth it!!!
I am not even rating the food. I placed a phone order and they said the order would ready in 20 mins. I never ate/ordered here before…saw good reviews, so thought I would give it a shot. I got there paid and than looked at the receipt and noticed it was $60 and I was expecting around $25. This what they said… did you see the menu only…yes. She turned to another worker and said, “they did not change it online?” Other worker just shrugged her shoulders. I waited and they turned away and went back to what they were doing. They made no effort to correct the issue, they turned away from me! Unacceptable!!
Always good food here. Awesome Friday fish fry.
